It’s a lovely little railway with a heart of gold. The station master was kind enough to give us free tickets as a Christmas present which was kind of them. I also love the dynamics of both the miniature railway and the railway with the main railway network running simultaneously with one another. As a little engine with a big yellow number one once said - “little engines can do big things”.

Missed the public running say. The grounds need some desperate TLC, road train loading facilities need its grass whipper snipped and its longest running loop seems to have been neglected for years with recent evidence of track removal. Railway seems to support both 3.5" and 5" railways respectfully. Public running day loops seem fine but I don't think I'll be going out of my way to visit.

Great place to bring your kids or just for train enthusiasts. To ride the train it's $2.50, they also have sausage sandwiches and cans of drinks for under $10. Otherwise, you can bring a picnic & blanket and sit under a tree and enjoy watching the kids having repeat rides @ $2.50 per ride.

Great fun for the whole family, and well organised. Rides cost $2.50 per person (very young children ride for free), and it's a cash-only operation, so be sure to bear that in mind. The Scouts also run a BBQ/Kiosk for snacks, but there is plenty of room to bring a picnic. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, as it is very popular.

This place has been around for ages - I remember my folks bringing myself and my brothers along...

This is a great place to come for a day out if you have children or if you like to see small trains. There are two tracks, one is 7-1/4" gauge, the other is 5" gauge.

In spite of what Google would have you believe, the railway only operates on the first Saturday of each month, between 11am and 4pm.

There is an important rule that anyone who wants to ride the small trains must wear covered shoes...
