I got to return to my old home area on the Central Coast of NSW a little while back - used to live there and miss it dearly. A work colleague had been banging on for ages that I HAD TO VISIT Ministry Cafe in Gosford so hit it up I did. This was their B-MAK BURG, their take on Maccas' world famous icon. They offer it as a single patty for $17 and a double for $22 and recommended bacon. So for a single patty burger with bacon and a can of drink it was $23-. It needed to be mind blowing for that price. I loved the patty, cooked perfectly, the pickles, raw onion (bonus for raw onions - love them) and their sauce was on point, not quite Mac sauce but close and tasty - it could have had some avocado in it but not 100% on that?? The burg looked grand but my gripes were that the bun was quite cold on the fingers when I touched it - may have come direct out of a fridge. Needed to be at room temp and/ or slightly warmed. The cheese was passable but with American cheese it would have elevated and the one thing that got me was price, it was just too expensive. Overall the burg was decent and I will return if in the area because the burgs...
Read moreHave been visiting a lot of cafes around the Central Coast with a small group and today on our agenda was Ministry Cafe Wyoming. We entered and there was only one other customer in the cafe around mid day. Ordered a chicken burger ($17) and a coffee ($4.50) service was acceptable however food portions were extremely small for the very high cost "chips" were about 15 shoestring fries. The burger itself was okay however for the price I would have expected a much larger serving or expected to pay $11-$14 for the food on offer. Overall the experience was okay. Just okay. I think perhaps this is a place to grab a coffee from in the morning but I couldn't reccommend the food based on other cheaper cafes with higher quality and better value food. Onto...
Read moreIt was my first time there and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. They were able to find me a freshly hosed highchair for my baby and it was a comfy one with padding, he looked lost in it. I ordered a burger thing with chicken, avocado, Mayo, bacon, egg. It was on a brioche bun which was lovely. I was pre-warned by a friend about the sliding avo so luckily I caught that. I also had a lovely iced latte on almond which was much appreciated on a hot day. Just as I left, I gave in to taking a black sesame tart with me, which I was able to eat while my baby slept when passing time at the shops. It was definitely worth the walk down from Honda while I waited for my car to be looked at. I left...
