If you are driving along the Western Hwy and passing through Nhill, the Australian Pinball Museum is definitely worth a stop. Located just off Dimboola Road, this place is a hidden arcade museum filled with flashing lights, nostalgic sounds, and a huge collection of pinball machines. They have everything from classic older style machines right through to the newest titles, all set up and working beautifully.

I found it amazing to not only see such a wide range on display but also to actually play them. Some of my personal favourites were there, and it really brought back memories of when I was younger spending hours in arcades.

The pricing is very fair – $2.00 per game on the new machines and $1.00 on the older ones – which makes it easy to play multiple games without breaking the budget. The variety is impressive, and honestly you could spend hours here going from one machine to the next. The vibrant lighting, themed artwork, and buzzing atmosphere make it even more fun.

Open daily from 11am to 9pm, it’s an easy stop for families, travelers, or anyone wanting a dose of retro fun. If you grew up playing pinball or just want to try something different, definitely drop in and enjoy a few games.

Absolutely love this place do yourself favour and take break here on the way to Adelaide so many different pinballs to play right from 1920s up to now not mention all the pinball art and movie art been here 3 times now usually spend about 2 hours here and $20 to $30 dollars while here and I'm pretty average at pinball there was one awesome guy playing pinball he made $2 last a long time while I was there he cracked into top 5 scores of the month. if you download the app you can earn a free game there's also football and air hockey. Was also clean if you don't play and just look you must give them a donation but I don't think you will have trouble finding something to play. the price is right unless you a truly horrible player even called in here with grandad and grandma 1 time they 75 and 80 years old even they enjoyed themselves played the older machines and air hockey...

A fantastic place to visit. The only Pinball Museum in Australia and it is great. The machines start at around 1932 onwards to recent models and are frequently changed over. Buy tokens and play that is the best bit - nearly every machine can be played. There is also an amazing collection of autographed pinball artwork and historical memorabilia. A truly well laid out display housed in part of the Oasis Motel, Nhill. We met one of the owners/collectors who is so friendly, interesting and knowledgeable. These guys really know their stuff. It was clean and well maintained. A great destination for a variety of generations. Either drop in on your way from Adelaide to Melbourne or do an overnight stay or two. Well worth the visit. A great laugh with the family. Highly recommend if there is an interest in these...

You might drive past without noticing. But inside, the machines wait patiently, blinking their lights into the dimness. It’s not a theme park. It’s quieter than that. The sounds are familiar but distant. The soft clatter of flippers. The lonely bounce of a silver ball. The soft hum of circuits remembering how things used to be. The man who keeps it all going moves with the kind of care people reserve for things that mattered once. He knows the machines. Not just how they work, but what they meant. When he talks about them, he’s not selling nostalgia. He’s preserving something fragile. There’s joy here, but it’s quiet. Like a song you half-remember. Like something once loud, now settled into memory. The Australian Pinball Museum doesn’t try to impress. It doesn’t need to. It remembers for all of us.

This fantastic museum is a must-see for die-hard & casual pinball fans alike. Lyndon has curated a fantastic collection of historical & modern machines, and has an encyclopedic knowledge of them - their history, the art, designers, manufacturers, everything. Modern favourite was probably Elvira; for a more 'classic' (but still comparatively contemporary) - Judge Dredd from the 90s, before the animation screens came in. If you're on the road & passing through, a stop here is a no-brainer. If you're on the Silo art trail, stop by and enjoy the pop art of these machines. A pinball wizard's mecca.
