Drove into reception and immediately knew I'd made a horrible mistake but as I'd already prepaid the extravagant amount of $178, non-refundable, i had to live with my bad choice. The motel has obviously had no money invested into it in the past 50 years, apart from the modern door locks and television. The air-conditioning is from the 70s with 50 years of dust included, and of course doesn't heat. The bathroom was from my worst nightmare, no way i was getting naked in there. The beds, omg, I'm still itching, and the smell will never leave my nostrils. It was honestly that bad that we made our escape at 4 am. The place needs to be cleansed with fire. The one star is for the owner who was a genuinely nice guy.

Please note that my review is based on the expectation that this was a budget stopover point on our road trip. It served the purpose well. The owner/manager was very helpful and friendly. The rooms are old as others have stated, but you’re booking a budget motel for a stop over. The context means that the rooms are appropriate. The air conditioners, whilst old, were able to cool the room well on a 33 degree day which it was when we stayed. Wouldn’t be rushing back for a staycation if any sort but as a stopover motel, it’s what you needed. Was great with the free continental breakfast as well.

A good place to lay your head halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne. I personally came to visit the pinball museum and stayed the night. The room is compact, as is the bathroom, but very comfortable. Shower was hot and great pressure. AC unit was old and a bit noisy but still pumped out hot air. Fridge, microwave and smart tv all present and working. Don’t expect the Hilton and you won’t be disappointed. Very friendly staff and a good light breakfast included. Australian Pinball Museum attached. Plenty to like about the Oasis.

I found the owner very rude with us. I booked 2 rooms; Room 1 and 2. These 2 rooms were inter-connected. I had 2 kids(1 of them was an infant) with me. as soon as we entered my wife got busy to feed the kids and I went to the owner lady to find out if I could borrow the High Chair and some Cutlery). She allowed me to take them. after an hour, my wife asked her politely, if she could borrow a Hair Dryer. The owner were so upset for this and started yelling for not asking for everything at once. WE WERE SHOCKED. We had to relocate the furniture so my younger daughter does not fall down from the bed. exactly what I did: I removed the bed side table and put both beds together. We were tired and left the Hotel next day morning. After 30 minutes of driving I got a call from the owner lady and she started yelling at us for not cleaning the room. By Not Claen she meant: why there are Tissue on the floor...why there are dry food part on the floor(can not be clean without vacuuming), why the furniture was not re-organized. She told me that she will charge me $200 more for this. I did not agree. She hang up the phone. we were shocked. she called me back after 10 minutes again and told me she will charged me extra $100 for breaking the bed. I came to know that she was a liar as well. I told her that if she charge me even a single dollar extra I will go to the police/court and then she made her stop from calling me again or charging me anything. I think, she knew that I am a 1st generation migrant in Australia, which made her think that she can make some extra profit from me. It is so far my wrost...

The motel was good for a stop over but definitely wouldn’t stay multiple days there. A bit overkill for the price of $210 each night but it was a place to sleep. The two rooms that had seperate beds could’ve had a door where the door way was so there was some privacy between rooms. The bathroom was VERY small and the shower was a bit of a slipping hazard for anyone (they did provide a non slip mat though). The other thing was that there was no cutlery at all and no sink to wash the dishes that you used so we had to rinse stuff out such as cups in the bathroom sink. Another thing was since the motels on the side of a highway it was very noisey from traffic and you had a few trains that came past throughout the night. Overall it was good for the night and the beds were so comfy. It was just very cold if you didn’t have the heater on since the cracks in between the doors were fairly large. However it was good stay for the night :)) plus free breakfast in the morning! And the gentleman was very friendly at...

We were driving through Nhill in the evening and pulled into this little unassuming motel, little knowing it would turn out to be one of the highlights of our extended trip around the state.

The rooms were decent sized and clean, costing $95 for a double. While that was pretty standard, what was special was the owner's friendly, relaxed hospitality and the obvious desire to make sure we had a great stay. Things got really interesting when he mentioned that the motel was also the Australian Pinball Museum, and THAT I WAS WELCOME TO PLAY ALL THE PINBALLS IN THE COLLECTION.

Cue wonderland of four small rooms of wonderful pinball machines, perhaps 30 in total, all ready for me to play, most an a buck a go. Heaven! I was in there for hours. The owner was also willing to explain the different machines, their history and qwerks, and interesting facts about the different games. It was brilliant.

If you are in western victoria and like pinballs you have...
