Get in early and bring a trolley! We come to Noosa regularly as semi-residents and our Sunday morning is always a trip to the Farmers Market, thankfully we can walk there as the traffic is a bit of a nightmare. We have our regulars and expand that as often as the urge takes us. The quality of produce cannot be beaten, the berries are the best with fat juicy strawberries, raspberries and blueberries which we can buy enough to last the week(or two) in the fridge, the French baguettes and escargotâŠmmmmmmm, the falafels with garlic dip and flatbread are ripper, the egg lady with the freshest eggs, the apples are crunchy and crisp and the juices are a really nice blend..oh the mushroom guys, is there anything better than some fresh mushrooms on a slice of toast with some of the eggs poached for breakfast upon returning from the market. And dont forget to get the locally produced butter, plain or with garlic or even truffle, excellent to use in a multitude of ways. The gnocchi is so good, the cheeses, the fresh vegetables! New guy arrived recently with preserved, dried, meat snacks and bacon as Molly Meldrum used to say âdo yourself a favourâ and get into his meaty treats. The hardest part of writing a review for this market is that I will have forgotten so many traders , go to the market, get your fresh foods, support there locals and above all else enjoy the great atmosphere and fun...
Read moreIf the markets reply still stands post edit: honestly yes you donât make the roads but also that doesnât mean better awareness for tourists isnât helpful. Markets like these are hyped on socials and though you should be proud of this: âmy realityâ as you so kindly put it still needs to be acknowledged and people should still be aware of what itâs like. When youâre not local and have a kid with you potentially parking ages away in an unfamiliar place is not too much to ask for things to be clearer. I donât think itâs harsh to ask in terms of parking any info in terms of â be prepared itâs manicâ where the good spots to go to and so on. Considering people in noosa are arrogant drivers as well to safely walk or cross near roads still blows my mind how many times people were willing to just drive and not give way to pedestrians. The market was also than so busy (again no one talks about it) that we barely made it through properly to look due to people just charging through, feeling entitled to push past and block. I get your pride is hurt someone left a bad review but than people can at least prepare better than being blindsighted like we were. Iâll close with good for locals not so much...
Read moreOn first impressions you think think this market is very small in comparison to other markets around the area - Yandina, Eumundi etc, however this little market packs some serious punch! Fresh fruit and vegetables direct from the growers - most often grown without sprays etc. Specialist growers of avocado đ„ đ, strawberries đ đ, raspberries and blueberries đ« đ. There's the meat producers - all local and not forgetting the cheeses- certainly to die for. Food stalls of every kind to suit all tastes and a lovely centre eating area all equipped with tables and logs and a fire pit. đ„ Parking is limited so find a place to park in the back streets and walk in to the market. Competitive prices on all produce and don't forget you can get the unexpected items like duck eggs, chinese greens and freshly squeezed juices. Great market - highly...
