Usually swim at Port Beach but thought I'd go further up. Pleasantly surprised as beach was just as gorj, of course, but with better facilities including cafe and grassy area for picnics and newish looking, clean shower block. Also loved the development just across...gave it a more eastern states kinda modernity but keeping the beach well hidden from the road.

One of many lovely beaches in WA. Leighton isn't so busy as Cottesloe with parking a lot easier. There isn't any toilets or change rooms though. We were near the dog beach so there were dogs wandering from there so may not be a great choice if you have kids that aren't keen on dogs running through their sandcastles.

Beautiful calm beach. Very popular, took me 20-30 minutes to find parking. There are great cafes near by. The sand is pure white, barely any seaweed, and the water is crystal clear. Great for families and even for those who like a deep swim.

It’s a beautiful long dog beach with cafes and restaurants (market space, bib & tucker, the orange box etc.) at the south end of the beach. Perfect for a long walk on hard, even sand. Some areas are a bit dangerous to get into the ocean because of rocks that are not always visible at first. In the afternoon the wind picks up, so best time is to go in the morning. Be aware that most likely some cute dogs will run up to you...

Nice beach in general. A few rocks depending on what time of year. Usually the waves are dumpy. No dogs here. Best change rooms I've ever seen at a public beach. Good BBQ facilities as well. Beach access is good. Not a surfing spot. Patrolled by SLS on weekends and public holidays. 2 parking areas. More than enough for most days. Train station close if that's relevant to you. Easy bike path joining Port Beach and...
