Terrible customer service.

I had taken 2 groups there over the past 2 years so this is a shame.

The wine is good so I signed up as a member a year ago. Having been a member of other wineries, the comparative experience with Piggs Peake was disappointing.

The annual membership came up and they billed me with no communication. Having a bill on your credit card with no communication is not appreciated. I called to seek clarity and to rectify.

Background / Issues were: I had moved but I had set up mail redirect via Australia Post and still did not receive the mail that they said they had sent. My email had changed. There is an auto reply stating this with my new contact details. They did not attempt a call to my mobile they had on file.

I realise these things happen and was still happy to stay a member. My original purpose of the call was to clarify/fix. The person on the phone was defensive and said you can just cancel if you would like.

Again, this was not the original intent of my call. When they reacted in such a way to a relatively small issue I choose to take them up on their offer and cancel.

Of course this is not a reflection of everybody in the business. This is the person who took the call and was responsible for memberships. It's a forward facing and key role in the business and her response and management reflects poorly on...

An absolutely exceptional experience. No fee no obligation experience. A tasting at Piggs Peake is a must in the Hunter Valley. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and valued. Jarrod met us at the door, presented us with a couple of beautiful Piggs Peake wine glasses and ushered us through the barrel room to our tasting table outside in the winter sunshine. We were then left in the very capable hands of James who with his quick and dry sense of humour and wealth of wine knowledge guided us through the extensive tasting menu. And wow the tasting was everything and more than we expected. Honestly exceptional wines, flavours, notes, colour, and inspiration in every glass. And when our tasting session was over, David took us on a wine crafting journey explaining the wine process and oak influences from the various types of barrels. My partner and I have tried many of the wine tasting offerings in the Hunter Valley and this for us takes the No. 1 spot. That’s not to mention their fully catered members parties in June and July.
