Beautiful nature! Join the locals in this hidden natural gem - have a walk, picnic, trail run or bring the kids to play in the shallow cascades of the river. Park just off Soldier Road (parking lot on the right just after you go over the bridge), follow the walk track under the bridge and along the southern bank of Roly Pool. The huge granite boulders are beautiful to sit on or walk past as you watch the river flow out of Roly Pool, or keep following the track and see NATURE'S SPA, or keep walking over Thompson Road to the best spot - SHALLOW CASCADES and NATURAL WATERSLIDES. Great for (closely supervised) children to play in the rock waterslides and shallow cascades in this spot. Note that Roly Pool itself is no longer suitable for proper swimming anymore, but the cascades upriver are perfect for shallow water play or a restful backdrop to your picnic. The paths are well labelled. We choose the boardwalk path . It took us 1hr to and from. I would rate it as an easy walk plus family friendly.
