Beautiful nature! Join the locals in this hidden natural gem - have a walk, picnic, trail run or bring the kids to play in the shallow cascades of the river. Park just off Soldier Road (parking lot on the right just after you go over the bridge), follow the walk track under the bridge and along the southern bank of Roly Pool. The huge granite boulders are beautiful to sit on or walk past as you watch the river flow out of Roly Pool, or keep following the track and see NATURE'S SPA, or keep walking over Thompson Road to the best spot - SHALLOW CASCADES and NATURAL WATERSLIDES. Great for (closely supervised) children to play in the rock waterslides and shallow cascades in this spot. Note that Roly Pool itself is no longer suitable for proper swimming anymore, but the cascades upriver are perfect for shallow water play or a restful backdrop to your picnic. My favourite recharge spot and so...

One the best walks in the area, dogs are welcome.wildlife is everywhere if your lucky you may even see that rare breed of male that jumps in the freezing cold spas of a morning.brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr not something I'm doing anytime soon.if you park on soldiers Rd as you enter there's a very nice and often busy little cafe you can grab a coffee from, before or after your walk.i do suggest sturdy foot wear some of the terrain is a little tricky, but easily done, sign posted well and varies in time depending how far you want to push yourself.really is good for all ages just keep your dog on lead and don't forget...

Roley pools and boardwalk trail has two designated parking areas. But thanks to our google map, we ended up to a narrow road ,that everyone seem to be using as an alternative parking spot. The park offers variety of path options . The paths are well labelled. We choose the boardwalk path . It took us 1hr to and from. I would rate it as an easy walk plus family friendly. Best part the beautiful river scenery (not deep some kids got in ) , the wild flowers. The park has designated...

One of the best natural short trails out there. You can take a safe climb up the boulders just around the side without having to carry any bouldering equipment. Though, there are parts that are dangerous which might have caused someone's passing in which a grave cross was present at the entrance. This park is most likely easier to trail and bouldered through during summer since you'd easily cross the river, and there will be less wet/damp spots on the ground and rocks.
