Excellent, Recently dropped in after 30 years! Dropped in with my beloved and teen daughters after 30 years away. Expect old tin sheds, they are cool and pleasant! Alicante Bouschet and Blue Imperial were my favorites years ago but sold out. I remember the Melbourne wine society had and exclusive on these years ago. On arrival and Kelpie alarm Bill obviously pulled himself out of a chair and proudly tasted me up after the friendly Kelpies gave us a lick an promise! Bill what a man, I remember him younger and as passionate yet under-rated in his own wine appraisals, he remains unchanged and of note. This is a vineyard of historic note with varietals you wont see elsewhere, from very old vines and experienced vintage techniques. Finding Chambers Rosewood is not hard and not far out of town, If you have kids there are swings and very friendly kelpies:))))

Fantastic for those who appreciate the...

I visited Chambers Rosewood Winery on 9th October on my way to Wagga Wagga to visit my godson. It was the first time to visit Rutherglen for almost 30 years. The kelpie who greeted me by the cellar door was probably a descendant of the dogs who would greet us in the 1990s. The winery had the rustic charm I remembered from the 1990s, timber and corrugated iron, nothing fancy. The staff were friendly and helpful, I bought a dozen reds: 6 Hayshed Red and 6 Rosewood Red, two bottles of The Broken Windmill Muscat and 5 litres of Dry Flor Apera (Dry Sherry) A bottle of Muscat and one of each of the reds were a gift for my godson who is a trumpeter in the Army Band Corps, based at Kapooka. The rest I will enjoy at leisure with friends back in...

If you’ve got a couple of hours in Rutherglen and can only visit one winery, make it this one! The tasting room is lovely and the wines are fantastic. They’re incredibly generous with how many you can taste and the tasting notes are really helpful and well explained. If you want to take some bottles home they’re all delicious and really reasonably priced. The thing that really makes this place special though is the staff. Ruth was amazing at helping us pick the right wines for us to taste (we’re not well versed on wines so this was super helpful) and was just generally a lovely person to chat to. Staff clearly really care about you having a great experience which makes for such a wonderful afternoon. Couldn’t...

We were here on the day Covid sent Vic into shut down, so had to come back and spent some quality time with Venetta at the iconic Chambers Rosewood winery. The place is steeped in history, family linkages, and still uses the traditional winemaking methods. You can wander amongest the barrels that house the aging Muscats and Muscadelle, some which wont see bottle for another 20 years. Their red and white table wines are some of the best value wines available in Rutherglen, and the stickies are legendary. #winetasting #thebestwine #travelvictoria #winetastingexperience #explorerutherglen #themuscatmile #winerutherglen #lovethisplace

I had likley one of the best experiences at Chambers Winery! I booked for an early tasting as they opened. I love older, more rustic looking wineries, and this is just thst with all of the wines made on-site. It was a slow day, and the lovely staff took me for a tour of everything from the fruit picking to the maturation chambers! All while sampling some of the best muscat, and wines around. Could not have had a more lovely time. If you are in the area go visit them!
