Such a beautiful update to this already stunning foreshore. Views of the city and the peaceful river scenery to enjoy. Good for all-age children. Big playground with 3 slides as well as the cutest small-children playground that has a maritime theme with 'hide n seek' items to find. Water play, swings and flying fox. The older siblings can enjoy a 'ninja warrior' course which challenges their athleticism. I did find that the water-play area was buzzing with bees and there are signboards up to say that it's a 'bee-friendly' playground which I love but it does mean that the bees kind of dominate that area and the kids avoid it. The toilet is infront of the foreshore jetty around 300m away.

We went to the Shelley foreshore for the New Year’s Day fireworks. I think this event gets bigger every year. There were lots and lots of people there. It’s good to see that the council had provided mobile toilets. There was also a band playing music on a stage. The music was a bit too loud for a family event! Other than that, it was a reasonably well organised event.

A small little riverside beach next to toilets, barbeque and playground facilities. For locals it's a pleasant spot for a morning run or walk and a quiet place for river play such as paddle boards and kayaks. I think a day out here with family and friends would be lovely with good food and conversation while enjoying the pretty view

Family oriented environment and relaxing for a picnic. Limited BBQ facilities and toilets available during the daytime. The playground is dated and due for a revamp. The playground is only suitable for ages 0 to 8 but older children sometimes hang around on the equipment which makes it inconvenient for the younger children to use the equipment for the purpose intended. Sometimes dogs are around unleashed where the small children play and need to be more adequately supervised or restrained. The jetty is small and not sure if it's really utilised but...

Beautiful spot on the river. BBQ, playground and toilets are present. The gas BBQ's are well kept and are adjacent to some covered picnic tables. The playground is small compared to some of the more modern ones around but it is adequate and still provides plenty of enjoyment for the kids. There is a jetty that goes out about 40 to 50 metres into the river. Great for a small boat to pull up to or for a swim. Afternoon sea breeze can really cool things off even on hot days. Great place in summer especially in the afternoon where you can appreciate a great...
