The Singleton Sundial is the largest sundial found in the southern hemisphere. The sundial was handed to the people of Singleton on the 20th of March, 1987, along with a certificate from Guinness Book of Records as been the largest sundial in the world at that time. The sandstone retaining wall at the base is constructed from convict hewn street stones from Singletons early history.
