Donut King Singleton — Restaurant in Singleton

Update: (19/3/23) Avoid like the plague. Apart from the lack of staffing, it takes forever to get your order, it's apparent that there is no order line and anyone can just walk up and get served even if you have been standing there waiting

Now, let's talk about prices... $30 for 2 plain hotdogs and 2 small milkshakes is obscene. I get it that inflation is taking its toll and they cater to coal miner's wives and their seemingly limitless supply of their husband's cash for their coffees, but $15 for a milkshake and a hotdog... Really?

Unsure of this price, I questioned it and the staff member rang the price up again and sure enough, it was $30. I waited, on my only sunday off in forever, with my kids who had been hanging out all week for Sunday lunch with dad to not only have people push in on us, then being told to wait after the push-ins were served straight away, only to be confronted by that pricing.

Thank god there are other places to eat here that are not priced at the level that this place is. I will be voting with my wallet and won't ever be back. I sincerely hope that this outlet goes the way of another established cafe did that was next to them.

I waited in line, for well over 5 minutes, and was next in line to order a coffee with one person seemingly just standing around watching, until what appeared to be her friend approached the counter to be served by her immediately. When I interrupted and said I had been waiting she just said sorry and continued to serve her friend. The coffee is ok but the service is terrible. If I could give 0 stars I would. Arrived at 3:34pm and closing time is 4pm. Was rudely told by staff too bad so sad and they don’t take orders from 3:30pm and go home at 4pm. As a small business owner. When I say my operating hours are from 8am-4pm I operate all the way until 4pm.

And to top it off as I’m writing this review I have witnessed the staff make a drink for one of his friends.
