Certainly a bucketlist item. A most beautiful place with good access, picnic area and one night only camping. First visited, camped and swam in the river about six decades ago. A place where the water sings. The walk is either a board walk or bitumen forest track. In weather times, as it was today places can get slippery when wet. The signs advise wearing closed in shoes. Why you may ask? The track is easily walked. Yes, it is ...and as another sign shows the stinging plant of the area. The stinging leaves today both old and new covered parts of the walking track. So as with all bush walks take care, know the risks, read and understand the information signs for the area. Read moreBeautiful scenery, definitely worthwhile to pay a visit but be careful for those having trouble walking as the track is very slippery and the majority of the track is very uneven to walk on. the walk doesn’t require a good fitness but I do recommend good shoes. In all fairness, I did this walk two days after our area received a drenching and on slippers. I will try to take my wife there in a wheelchair but are not sure if that will work. Read moreBeautiful walk, the fig trees are magnificent, couple of massive trees left from the logging of the past, very easy walk, could be wheelchair friendly with some assistance. Walking shoes weren't necessary on the day of our walk, however the paths could be slippery at times. The circuit is only just over 1 km and easily accessible for parents with children, but I would not call it a safe place for kids as such.
