Firstly the good points; lovely view of the harbour skyline, dog friendly with dog bins and running water. Clean toilets; they do need a wall dryer or at least paper hand towels. The lawn is well looked after. It’s a medium size area. There is a walking trail but it is steep and very uneven. It’s not worth it because there are no interesting views.
The downside is limited parking that is on the side of the road. The side of the road is a very steep walk, not great for the elderly or those with mobility issues.
My advice is to drive 9 minutes further and go to Blues point reserve that has glorious views of Sydney harbour including the bridge and Opera house. It’s dog friendly. There is limited parking so it’s best to go early or...

Spectacular views of the city. A circular walking trail rewards you with lots of vantage spots for photos. Lots of private little beaches. Hard to believe such a tranquil place exists so close to the CBD.
A superb playground for young children up to 8 years of age. Swings, slides, climbing equipment.
Perfect spot for a young child’s birthday.
However be careful if playing ball games. Lack of netting on fences means balls may roll away and into the water. I’ve experienced the heartbreak of a child who’s soccer ball has drifted off into the harbour 😢

Only has two bbq grills and two tables, and the park gets quite crowded very early, so you will need to bring your own chairs and tables if you need them.
There's a 20-minute walking trail to the south part of the park, going through the woods. The walk is really pleasant, not too hard on your legs. In the middle you will be presented with lookout where you can see bits of harbour bridge and nice water view.
