What a place! It truly stands out with its incredible view that takes your breath away the moment you arrive. Whether you're looking for a peaceful spot to relax or a scenic backdrop for a day out, this location has it all. The natural beauty surrounding the area makes it perfect for a picnic—imagine spreading out a blanket, enjoying delicious food, and soaking in the stunning landscape. It's also a wonderful spot to share special moments with loved ones, whether it's a romantic outing, a gathering with friends, or even just some quiet time alone.

One thing to note is that getting there via public transport can be a bit challenging. While it's an option, the routes aren't as direct or frequent as you might hope, so you may need to plan your journey carefully. If you’re driving, it’s worth mentioning that the parking area is quite limited. During peak times, you might struggle to find a spot close by, which could mean parking further away and taking a bit of a walk to reach the main area. However, even with these minor inconveniences, the experience is more than worth it.

The charm of this place far outweighs any small challenges you might encounter. Once you're there, the serene atmosphere and picturesque surroundings make it easy to forget any hassle. Whether you’re spending the day exploring or just passing through, it’s a destination that leaves a lasting impression. Overall, it’s a place that I would highly recommend and one that I’m sure I’ll be returning to again and again. If you're looking for a spot that offers both natural beauty and a sense of tranquility, this is...

Very nice place but would not recommend for New Years Eve. (I was at the Mast this year and if you are looking to book here, book for the Amphitheater not the Mast. Amphitheater has much better views) Have to get there at 10am even though the gates open at 3pm so you can be at the front of the line to get a reasonable spot to actually see anything because trees are in the way everywhere and there's only one good spot everyone , being 1,600 other people looking out one clear spot, crowds around to see the bridge. Plus you have to walk about ten minutes to get down there because you can't get through the gates at the top which is reasonable if they didn't make you park about 30min walk from the the main gate so you'll be walking about 40-50min to get back to your car and if you're thinking of taking public transport just don't, Sydney's public transport is a disgrace to the nation in so many ways and coming from Melbourne myself where they have free actually working public transport on NYE you really get to see how money hungry...

A truly breathtaking and peaceful spot that captures the magic of Sydney Harbour. The natural amphitheatre setting is spectacular, surrounded by bushland, framed by water, and offering panoramic views that are nothing short of stunning. It is a place that invites stillness and reflection, yet feels vibrant and alive with history.

There is something deeply grounding about being here, whether you are pausing during a bush walk, enjoying a quiet moment, or learning about the area’s military significance. The space holds a quiet dignity that pays tribute to the service of our defence forces, adding depth and meaning to the beauty around you.

Highly recommended for anyone seeking a serene escape, a romantic viewpoint, or simply a place to reconnect with the land and...

Beautiful location for a wedding - it is very weather dependent so make sure to have a backup option for inclement weather It's very easy to book online with NPWS Events National Parks - they will advise regarding all the specifics of the site. For our wedding it was a maximum of 100 guests, 40 rail style chairs, two allocated parking spots, and no confetti/flower petals. Parking here is limited and the tight roundabout will not accommodate limousines but will accommodate a regular Mercedes sprinter van quite nicely, so our party booked one vintage car for myself and my bride, and two sprinter vans for our wedding party.

Best view in Sydney! Take a blanket, picnic and a book (and sun cream) and enjoy an afternoon basking in the sun!Very relaxing on weekdays - very few people around (haven't been on a weekend yet). Great short walk from Taronga Zoo Wharf - if you have a keen eye, you'll spot some water dragons (big lizards) along the way. And lots of turkeys wanting your food! I've recently moved here from the UK and I will be showing this spot to all of my family and friends when they visit - definitely my favourite place in Sydney!

Nice little spot to eat lunch, picnic or to have casual meetings with friends and colleagues. I doubt it is being used as an actual amphitheater. It is also connected to a pier that is great for fishing (you will need an NSW fishing license). The folks fishing there said they havent caught anything yet. Australian Ravens, laughing kookaburras, noisy miners, australian magpies, australian brushturkeys and silver gulls roam the area in hopes of scavenging for visitor bread/food. Overall a nice place to relax.
