Nature and harbour views 2. Small beaches dotted along the way 3. Lighthouse 4. Zoo (see operating hours) 5. Picnic spots - Walk to Sirius Cove for a lovely afternoon/evening picnic spots. Pets allowed! 6. Ferry Recommendations: Long course: Start from Taronga Zoo bus drop off/parking and walk down to Bradley's Head Lighthouse. Wind back around to Athol beach and follow the walking track past the wharf to Whiting Beach for a quick stop. Follow along to Sirius Cove for a picnic with your pets. For true panoramic style, continue along to Cremorne Reserve (all up around 9-10km). This is accessible by walking up the stairs next to the playground at Sirius Cove and walking through neighbourhood streets to connect back to Mosman Bay Wharf where you can hike onto Cremorne Reserve Path. Short Course: View the lighthouse and Athol beach, then go back to the bus stop/car park. This checks off items 1-4 on the attractions section. Access to: Bus - Route 100 operates from Wynyard to the top of Taronga Zoo Car - Parking is available if you follow the road past Taronga Zoo ~500m on the left. *Parking fees may apply? Ferry - Ferries operate from the city to Taronga Zoo Wharf Foot - if you live within the circumference of Balmoral Beach it is an ideal walking distance (for young/fit people).
