I jad a great time at this forest. The walks state a long time but they can be do e in half the time and that's walking with a baby and a toddler. The staff both in the nursery and cafe were so nice, I was expecting otherwise compared to other reviews but I had utmost respect and professionalism from them, everyone in the nursery would ask if I need help and I mean everyone I was amazed and even had the time to chat a d show me and my son some tadpoles in their water plants. The Cafe staff welcome us and even offered extra plates for our meals to share and gave us a courteous thank you see you next time and food/ drinks were great too and fast. My son got bitten at the front of the nursery carport from a jumping jack ant which hurt him a lot. We asked the nursery if they had any ice as the Cafe had closed, to our surprise they gave us a free frozen ice tea to help my sons swelling and pain. Great place to visit over all just...

Consisting 40 hectares of native trees and vegetations, Cumberland State Forest is located on a hill slope of West Pennent Hills, and just 26 kilometers from CBD. I very much enjoy wandering on those Bush Walking Trails and listening to the songs of various birds; as well as shopping at its well established Nursery. Within the Forest, there are also Cafe; Picnic, BBQ facilities; and a very popular Tree Tops Adventure Park. With Koala Park just stone's throw away, it makes Cumberland State Forest a wonderful destination for one's weekend getaway. I have taken some photos with my Phone Camera, and I am uploading a few as my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWonderful area to bring the whole family. There is a plethora of activities, and they work hard at maintaining the park, their relationship with the public, and with their role of maintaining the environment. I went there to learn more about how I could get involved with their environmental programs, and although there wasn't much service available in the information centre, there were plenty of resources laid out for me. The staff were helpful wherever I went, and their Cafe and nursery was fantastic. This park would be an excellent place to go out with family, and to get the kids somewhere that is outdoors and entertaining. (They also have a new treetops activity if you're into high ropes). Certainly worth a drive out to see it,...
