Today, we had a disappointing experience at the venue for my niece's 5th birthday party. Unfortunately, the staff exhibited extreme rudeness and unprofessional behaviour.
Towards the end of the party, while the guests were still present in the party room, the "owner" became "frustrated" because the rubbish bin had not been lined correctly and the rubbish had fallen outside the designated bag, ending up in the bin itself. Instead of addressing the issue calmly and discreetly, the owner proceeded to aggressively slam and empty out large bins of rubbish all over the ground in front of the guests and children
To make matters worse, the owner reprimanded multiple children with harsh comments like, "What are you doing there? Get out! Are you serious?" Shockingly, she even grabbed the arm of my 2 year old nephew, who is on the autism spectrum, and yelled at him to stay away from the rubbish on the ground that she had caused. This interaction was completely inappropriate and unacceptable.
Before leaving, I made it clear to the owner that her level of rudeness was inexcusable and that her approach to children was unjustifiable. In response, she defended herself by stating, "Well, that's how I speak to my own children, and I am frustrated about this mess." This kind of behavior is absolutely disgraceful.
It is evident that the staff at this venue were consistently rude and displayed a lack of enthusiasm for their work in a child-centred industry. Such behaviour is completely unprofessional and should not...
Read moreThe place is well maintained.. There is a good amount of structures. The staff ok but I wouldn't say went too much out of their way.
However the lack of cooling, or *even *ventilation, in this place is unacceptable. It must have been over 40 degrees plus inside this place on the day we went. With no real effort (or expenditure) to manage this. The evaporative cooler was not on like what the.., there were minimal fans in the place even and I mean minimal small ones... Not even roof vents to extract heat...
How in a modern age can a place operate to the public like this? Seriously not even rood vents? Why wasn't the evaporative cooler working? Not that that type of solution would do much, but better than nothing. Why not large fans to move air around at least? They did offer spray bottles..
Corner cutting (cost) on things like this, when it's typical for Australia to have high 30's and even 40 degree days in summer is a big thing.
Also, having multiple exit doors that kids can go out if they leave certain area ms to go to another isn't great. So if you have a child that could go out a door when not closely monitored, then this place isn't good. Our child is trust worthy so I didn't have to watch him like a hawk but something others might need to know. I've noticed most other places like this the kids can't easily escape into a car park.
Yes my 1 star reflection is heavily biased around the lack of cooling, and partially the exits. But it's a huge cost cutting thing that a place like this...
Read moreUnsafe practices that put children at risk- my 1 year old was inside one of the inflatables within the '5 years and under section'. It was 3pm and all the young staff members came through saying the place was closing. One of the staff members saw my son inside the inflatable and asked if I knew whose child it was. I confirmed he was mine and that I would get my daughter next to me to jump back in and grab him out (as he was up high and not wanting to slide down). No less than 20 seconds later I notice the inflatable collapsing while both my kids are on there!!! Both were distraught because they couldn't balance themselves to get out. I jumped in to grab them and equally had difficulty to get them out. The staff member that had seen my son justn prior noticed the situation and said that another staff members didn't realise there were still kids inside and had turned off all the power. That staff member was advised about what happened but instead of apologising laughed about the situation. . There were clearly still kids in the vicinity of the inflatables that could have jumped back in after being told to get out and may not have had their parents there to assist them like mine did. It's very dangerous to deflate bigger intricate inflatables because a child could easily get stuck...
