there are plenty awesome places to watch sunrise along east coast but not for sunset, only few spots can view both, long reef is the one. also the chance are very high to see a stunning second sunset if you can wait another 10 ~ 30 mins after sun going down, sky getting dark and color fading away. we've done little loop walk here last winter. started from the pay car park at east end of Seaview Parade, follow the pathway next to the golf course to the lookout, then walked down the hill to headland point, and then walk along the Rock platform to Fisherman's beach, finally went up hill back to car park.

We tried this out for a short 60-90min relaxed coastal walk with prams. Great walkway for prams, mostly concreted with decent off-road tracks. Paid parking near beach or free on the main road. We started near the Golf Club, walked out to the lookout and then continued to circle the golf course ending up at a playground where we let the kids out to play while we had refreshments from the cafe ( Outpost) across the road. Good little family morning outing.

An absolutely beautiful day, and a wonderful place to explore whether you're a local or a visitor from out of town. The locals call it the Byron Bay of the Northern Beaches ⛱️! Wonderful vistas at every turn, a water fountain for all that are thirsty after the short 20min walk from the car park to the Whale viewing deck. Then from there you can fo a 45min loop to carpark or head down towards the sea for an incredible walk on the beach.

Gorgeous beach with a lot of friendly people and cute dogs. It's a short easy track but I also recommend dipping your feet in the shallow cold waters by the rocks. A refreshing experience. There's a spot by the rocks where you can sit down and watch the ocean views. If you're lucky enough, you might even see some dolphins and whales.

Excellent walk and amazing views and great for just taking it in or whale, dolphin watching and so on, definitely worth it if you are in the area, even worth driving out to. This would be worth taking overseas relatives to for a bit of a sight see away from the opera house and bridge.
