This headland is touted as a great place for whale watching. You can gaze across the ocean, north to the Central Coast or south to North Head, or explore the rock platform for all kinds of marine creatures. Whales have been reported in the area on several occasions during the migration seasons. This lookout is part of the 3km walking loop around the golf course nearby. There is a formed track with gentle/steep slopes and stairs and with superb views. Paragliders use the elevation to take off. Popular place, lots of tourists and locals. Toilets available at suitable places. Lots of walking expected. Advisable to go early to avoid the heat as well. Wear comfy shoes, take water, wear hat, sunscreen. Free entry.
