It's a walk about.. rewarding but utterly depressed that many harmless join tunnels are locked... Gone is the mystery and hello OHS and Insurances... Sydney Harbour foreshore authority could 'come to the party' and open some harmless tunnels back to being open .
Middle Head has embattlements and historical war turrets built to keep the Russians out who never came (near Anthol House) this is the same area that had Mission Impossible 2 house on the harbour. From the view point that is the inside turn in the harbour from the city to the ocean.
WW2 embattlements are on the Middle Head propose and face the sound.
There is a walk from Taronga Zoo wharf around the fore shore that is beautiful and undulating (good shoes). Goes past Clifton Gardens (beach / Picnic areas) and there are a few cafes along the way too.
There are busses back to the top of Mosman Junction. You can catch a bus back to the city or to Mosman Wharf to get back to Circular Quay.
