After a morning at the nearby Cobblers Beach; I recently tried the prosciutto , raclette and potato baguette and it was absolutely delightful! The baguette was perfectly toasted with a satisfying crunch on the outside and a soft, fluffy interior. The combination of salty prosciutto and creamy potato slices, layered with melted cheese, created a beautiful balance of flavors. It was hearty yet sophisticated. Highly recommend this dish for anyone craving something deliciously unique!

French-Australian dynamos chef Dany and manager Christelle have pivoted to takeaway in Sydney's August - September 2021 COVID19 lockdown. Open space and fresh air to walk, run or ride, fresh food, coffee and the host's joie de vivre are a wonderful escape.

It was great to come across this little French cafe overlooking the oval after our long walk in middle Head. We had a veggie wrap and a prosciutto and cheese baguette served with a salad which were both lovely.

I looked for a way to write my review directly to the owner, but could only find a phone number, so a public review it is.

I live locally and eat here/get takeaway quiches from here regularly. We even came here for my partner's birthday.

I'd raved about the café to my mum and promised we'd finish our mother-daughter walk with a visit there.

Our 'reception' by the female staff members was such that I'm unlikely to return. They were extremely rude and unhelpful - they seemed to just want us to go away. Well, they achieved success!

Unfortunately, this one really bad experience overshadows my previous good ones.

The café was busy, sure, but it took three attempts at trying to find a way of giving them some custom, either by waiting outside for a table to become available or, as a second option, to order takeaway.

We realised the tables on the lower level were all unoccupied and the waitress (a regular), when pressed, said we could eat takeaway there, but that there was no service.

Then she sort of shrugged and walked off.... There were menus within her reach and she was at the counter, so it seemed she didn't really want us to order.

We ended up having to extend our walk and went to Frenchy's up the hill, where we were warmly received and enjoyed a lovely meal.

I'm off to Frenchy's again now, as we're heading out with friends. As recently as last week I would have suggested...

The food at Middle Head Café was absolutely delicious! The beef pie was to die for — the filling was like soft, pulled beef, so tender, and the outside was perfectly crispy. My husband had the vegetarian omelette with cheese inside, and it was just as amazing. The sweet potato in it added a spectacular flavour.

I also had a coffee and it was spot on — rich and delicious. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. They are French, and when they noticed my husband’s T-shirt saying he’s from Algeria, they even started speaking French with him, which made the experience extra special.

The location is cute, easy to get to, and with parking on site, it’s very convenient. Overall, everything was amazing. Thank you,...

We have the warm seafood salad, Seafood lasagne and today's special (seafood basket & chips). We order 2 dishes at first because we didn't know the portion. Once everything arrive, we decide to order the 3rd dish and the lady (I believe is the owner, mid lenght dark hair) said we shouldn't order 2nd round, everything should be order at the start. She also tell us to start eating what's arrived and be quick. I explain to her that it is our first time here and didn't know about the portion and she give me a "don't give a xxxx" face.

Other than that, my husband (after the walk) and I (after 3 hours) had diarrhea. Not to say that it's caused by their food but that's what happened...
