Winnererremy Bay — Attraction in Sydney

This is a great place to spend a few lazy hours with the kids, go for a walk with the dog or just sit back and read a book in the sun. The walking track extends along the waterfront, circles the park and is an easy level walk. The down side is that the bar-b-cue facilities are limited and so youhave to get in early. The park is very popular and parking was st a premium. The other problem with the parking was that the ticket machine had the dreaded "network error" and the connection timed out every time I tried to use it. The network error message was accompanied by a direction to pay by coins. I did not have $40 in coins to the fee. Do they think...

Mistakenly known as Flying Fox Park. This is a fantastic location for casual recreational activities. The park is large with a decent junior bike path surrounding it. There is a fun kids playground with an actual flying fox. Several free covered BBQ stations and a decent Cafe for those wishing to purchase food or drinks. It has a beautiful view and a small beach opening to the bay, great for kids and families. There are sufficient parking spaces with some free parking on the surrounding streets. Great park area. Nice large closed in (fenced) playground for children with many play equipment options.

The grassed areas are all very flat which is perfect for setting up for a picnic. There are wonderful views out over the water.

There are also a couple of sheltered areas scattered around with tables and seating. There is parking on the street around the park, although I can imagine at busy times this would be more limited.
