Not a bad walk. Totally a rehabilitation zone with regards to water banks. Once off the front line entrance from Henry Lawson though it is ok. Good to do with young kids as well. But take some water and snacks. It took myself, my partner and her friend with two kids over 2 hours. They wanted to explore. Which basically meant it was a success.

Hint: to avoid getting lost, or at least not left wondering which way to go, when entering from Henry Lawson Dr follow the loop anti-clockwise (to the right). The trail signs...

Fairly moderate walk around a lagoon, through pretty bush land with spring flowers and natural rock formations. Glimpses of urbanisation, but not too much. Several rocky steps with one series conveniently supplied with a rope tied to a tree for easier descent. Kookaburras, cockatoos and rosellas spotted. This is a first look at a George’s River National Park walk in many years and it has awoken a wish to try some more of the many walks within the park. Convenient...

The trail isn't clearly marked if travelling the loop clockwise starting at the Northern end of Fitzpatrick Park. We ended up in what looked like someone's backyard, and did a little bush-bash to get back on track. We lost the trail a second time and ended up near the power station. Not sure if it's any better travelling anti-clockwise. Generally nice bushland, some natives were flowering, and there wasn't too much rubbish (apart from an...

Getting back into nature. This is a good track that actually feels like a bush walk. The narrow dirt track gives an authentic feel of actually being in the bush, without having to go out bush. Unfortunately, like many areas, people have left behind some rubbish floating around which detracts from the overall experience. There's also no car park. People do park on the side of a busy 2 lane road to get in, which is not ideal.

This is a great loop track through the bush and around a lagoon. It would be great if there were a few more sign posts as there are lots of side tracks off the main one. A good one to do with kids (aged 5+). There is one steepish section requiring a shimmy down a rock whilst holding a rope (there is a stepped side track around this), which is lots of fun for kids but something to keep in mind as it requires balance.
