Cannot rate this highly enough. Absolutely loved the Tasman peninsula boat tour. My parents were gifted tickets and the whole family decided to tag along - we couldn’t have made a better decision. Ben and Lily hosted a wonderful afternoon - they were friendly, knowledgable, and entertaining. They were also so attentive and caring checking in on everyone throughout the trip. FYI the company provides a large waterproof warm coat for the journey. Tasman peninsula offers stunning scenery and we were fortunate to see a range of wildlife including seals, dolphins, and bird life. You also get views that you cannot get from land. Can get a little bumpy out at sea but nothing that some prophylactic sea sickness meds couldn’t fix (some ginger tablets were provided) - we all felt fine for the whole trip. Pack warm clothes and wear closed toes shoes as there is some spray that lands on the boat. People with back issues should sit towards the rear of the boat. This company is also very connected to conservation efforts. Make sure you book a boat tour when you visit the...
Read moreThis is the second time I have done the Tasman Island Cruise. The first time it was perfect weather, lots of wildlife, calm seas, clear skies and a near perfect experience. This time it was the "exact opposite". 5 metre swells, driving rain, overcast & a capacity bus ride. So why the 5 star review you ask - well because you just simply MUST do this trip - yes, much better in great weather, but an experience not to be missed. The crew did everything they possibly could to still make it memorable and SAFE. Do not sit at the front of the boat, in the rough weather, unless you are prepared for a "rough ride". I did, but loved it. The information says dress warm - it means it. The rain jackets are just that, they do a great job, but you need the warmth underneath. I also give Pennicott Wilderness journeys 5 starts, because of their refund policy. Unfortunately, my husband was ill before we headed on our trip & they refunded his fare promptly, with no fuss, bother or stress. I was stressed, so this was a breath of fresh air. Would I do this tour...
Read moreIt was an amazing experience for me and my partner. It’s really worth the price, best AUD$145 per pax we’ve ever spent. We saw dolphins, seals, and humpback whale on our trip.
They will take you on a cruise for 3 hours to see amazing rocks along Tasman Sea and also to look for dolphins, seals, and whales. They will stop and rotate the boat so no one will miss to take a picture or selfie.
Little advice for those who have motion sickness i.e seasick, you have to think twice, because it’s not a big boat, and when the boat stops in the middle of the sea with waves, winds and everything, I’m telling you it’s not a smooth ride. But don’t worry, just tell the crew, they’ll put you at the back of the boat where there’s less rough.
All in all, this is really an amazing experience and I highly recommend this for you. You just...
