Wow! Tiaro is one of the top campgrounds we've been to. The camp is a medium size gravel parking lot, flat with a tiny bit of an incline. The park can accommodate about 10 motorhome/caravans next to each other. Although space is a close proximity with your neighbours the area is not suffocating. There are several trees and quite a few open spaces that makes the camp big. There is a.sink at the entrance of the camp with both tap and drinking water available. Next to the camp spot is a large green grassy area that can be utilised for anything aside from camping. After that is a large park with a playground. It has a skate /scooter ramp. A new covered playground with slides, a climbing fort, slides, swings, flying fox and a three seater seesaw. The playground is on very white beach sand. There are 2 outdoor exercise machines next to the playground. There are several wooden seat benches scattered around the playground. There are also 3 covered seating areas with metal table and benches. There is 2 electric BBQ plates and a basketball areas next to it. Bins are located next to it and next to the toilet block. There is a tap next to the BBQ and a drinking fountain next to the toilet block. The toilet block is adjacent to the BBQ. There is a mens, women's, a baby room and a shower with a disabled toilet. The 2 minute shower is amazing, it is a rain shower feature and literally comes from a hole in the ceiling. There is a two minute timer. The shower will stop when 1 minute is done to warn you you have 1 minute remaining. There is a Power point in the shower. The toilet block is well maintained and serviced efficiently. Well stocked with toilet paper and soap. Disabled toilet has no soap dispenser though. The park is well maintained and very open. With several trees helping as cover from the sun. There is also a Volcanic Rock display in the park and information about it. The Visitors Center is right next to the park and beside it is the statue of the famous Mary River turtle. Tiaro is. A small town however it has essential shops you would need. A grocery shop, there is a hippie shop, a meat shop, a coffee and Chip shops, a pub right in front of the camp, a pharmacy, a doctor, a post office, a vintage shop. Everything is walkable and is one of the best tows we've been in size, and access to amenities. The camp is very popular and a lot of travellers pass by the town, turnover rate of caravans is fast. Generators allowed, unfortunately not wheelchair accessible however manageable if need be. Pet friendly. Thank you Tiaro for sharing your awesome town, for your generosity and your...

Stayed 2 nights 3 days here. Small site so first come first served. Bonus- Walking distance to the Royal Hotel Bottle O, coffee shops, foodworx, GP clinic, Site is free only for self contained rv No power, one water area to connect, public toilets is few metres away also with shower( not sure if with hot water), toilet is clean, has playground for kiddies, picnic tables and chair and bbq area. No free wifi, good tv reception Dog friendly and big place to walk the dog. No overgrown grass Need a few more lamp post because it can be very dark at night, only has 2 lamps.

Few campervan stay here too, saw a few relieving themselves behind trees although the toilet is just few metres away. Saw dodgy ones pour” amber coloured fluid” (pee) on the grass… disappointing. This morning there were 2 people on bivouacs.

Comment- Tiaro in QLD is a very quaint little, friendly town. Everything is walking distance including coffee shops, grocery, GP, Royal Hotel/tavern which is just great.

Also, specify who can stay in the park so it doesn’t get abused by others using the trees as their toilet.

The place is just a gem, few people just spoils it for everyone else. Bins available...

Tiaro is a lovely town as long as your Van can travel at a speed of 50kms and not stall. I checked out the toilet, learned things from the back of the toilet door that I did not know. The Hotel food was OK, I felt safe in the free overnight free parking offered. Love the little supermarket, Butcher, Pharmacy and coffee shop is lovely. It is a bit too close to home, sometimes I keep on going but I feel so secure and great that it is there when I really need it. Sometimes their are loud mouthed patrons passing through but with a little tolerance we can ignore them especially when our...

You park your caravan at the back of a park it has parking bays for caravans. It has water and a sink. You walk though the park to get to toilet block and there is a hot shower that has a 2 Min timer. There is a foodworks, pub, butcher, Cafe, fish and chip shop, a hippy shop and a great information centre with local arts and craft. The lady who works there is lovely and full of information.
