I have never dined here, but after moving to the area I have been looking to support local businesses that have an inviting atmosphere and great coffee. Although I can’t speak for the coffee, seeing the business responses and the personal attacks on people making reviews, the unprofessionalism and nasty attacks will never want me to step foot in such a negative and degrading environment. Quite defensive and derogatory responses for someone trying to justify that they are a great place to go and aren’t warranting one star reviews. Speaks for itself I think.

Edit to add a response: Firstly, as I stated, my first thing when I move to an area IS to support small businesses. My justification for not supporting yours has been confirmed in your response. Couldn’t just keep it as a factual response about why you give the responses you do, you had to make it an attack again about me making that review at a an hour that I in fact, definitely did not make it at. I actually made that review at around 10am - whilst looking for a coffee shop to attend, so unsure why or how you got that time and decided to slander me for it. Once again, your responses speak for themselves. And I’m sure the only reason more people don’t leave negative reviews is the fear of being berated by someone who can’t receive or take anything on as constructive criticism. Not everything is about a “star rating”.. maybe try...

No excuse to leave a customer waiting almost 20 minutes for a take away coffee. Less yapping and tending to unimportant tasks and more putting customers and prompt service first. I visit this store every time I head back to Brisbane, but today was the last straw... I am generally understanding if staff can be seen doing the best they can on busy days, but the delays today, were very clearly staff inefficiency.

UPDATE: In response to the snarky, rude response from the owner (which really confirms all about this place)... clearly it WAS NOT busy... for if it were, I'd not have been inclined to leave a review. As customers can see staff making coffees and all customers waiting, my review is as stated... there was NO excuse for the shocking delays and it would not have been so delayed if staff were actually productive and efficient. Talking whilst customers are waiting for a product/service they've paid you for, clearly demonstrates your lack of appreciation and respect.... as does your rude,...

If you don't mind doing some time travelling for a good cup of coffee, then Retro Espresso is a must-do on your timeline. Conveniently located, and easy to find, with plenty of parking places to leave the DeLorean, Retro Espresso is a blast from the past the moment you materialise through their front door. Soak in the 60's vibe while looking over the beverage selections to choose your favourite, mine being a extra-large flat white on oat. The Retro Espresso crew are always ready with a smile and a chat for each time traveller, and because time is precious, you'll appreciate their speedy service. Sit and enjoy your brew while watching the world flash by; however, take the time to enjoy the décor, the gadgets, and the well made fire-pits, each one looking for a new home to keep warm. Whenever I'm travelling, my TARDIS always makes a stop at Retro Espresso, and...

KEEP DRIVING PAST AWEFUL I went to retro coffee today in Tiaro. I have been here several times and had good service. Today was absolutely disgusting embarrassing and shameful for Retro Coffee. Their service or should I say lack thereof was comically pathetic. They did not give me the right order and when I politely requested a replacement they refused saying that I placed the wrong order. The male manager was absolutely abhorrent in his demeanor and frightened me and my children. I do not recommend to go to this shop and I will certainly not return. Overpriced rubbish. He argued with me and berated me in front of 10 or so customers. A real chauvinistic attitude.

Went here today had cap and chai latte, muffin and banana cake. Not a lot of choices, was hoping for an egg bacon or something savoury. Many retro items from posters to old cameras on display to keep you entertained while waiting for your coffee. Coffee was great not the best but certainly one of the best chais I’ve had. A must to visit when in Tiaro QLD. Just spot the DeLorean parked outside.

If I'm honest the best rated cafe in a town of 433 probably could never live up to my city slicker expectations. The bad.. work flow doesn't include simple things like wiping out the portafilter between shots and a fairly limited menu. The good.. tolerable coffee on milk despite the shortcomings, and gluten free sweets for those pretending to be gluten intolerant.
