This place is insane. Who would have thought that Ballina would have one of the most state-of-the-art climbing venues in NSW. Absolutely nothing like it in the whole of the Northern Rivers area. I've been climbing here like 4 times a week since they opened and signed up for a 12 month membership almost instantly as I've been desperate for something like this close to home. The staff here are super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and obviously love their craft. I've done a couple of courses with them to improve my skills and they have been worth every cent. The social atmosphere and climbing community here is great, I've made loads of new friends of all ages and backgrounds. The kids absolutely love it here and you can really see the excitement on their faces and how much joy they experience climbing here. It was packed during school holidays so it's obviously really good for tourism and bringing people to the area. The location is next level, such a gorgeous location for a climbing gym. Get in there, you won't regret...

I am incredibly grateful for the support language that was used. It was kind, age appropriate and reassuring, rather than a ‘toughen up’ approach.
The use of the bananas and monkeys is a well thought out and very considerate approach, giving children the opportunity to assess where they are at and what they feel they can achieve.
Thank you all for the fun and safe space you...
Read moreFantastic climbing gym and great staff! However, I am peeved though that I am required to pay $299 to do an indoor lead climbing course, when Ive literally been leading climbs on trad and sport gear since 1996. Not really any space for experienced climbers, and I'm quite bored of starting from scratch and being treated like a beginner everytime! I used to manage a climbing gym in the 90's, and the belay course and knots was mandatory. If a person was experienced in lead climbing already, we would assess that persons competence - not make them start again...
