I visited Pia's Place Playground in Whiteman Park today and was thoroughly impressed! This playground is a gem for families, especially those with young kids. The fully enclosed space ensures the little ones can play safely without worrying about them wandering off. The playground itself is packed with interactive activities, huge climbing structures, slides, etc, that will keep kids engaged for hours. What's more, there are two picnic shelters with tables and chairs, perfect for birthday parties or family gatherings. You can use the dedicated electric barbecue (with $1 coins) for the P1 pavilon. The toilets are always clean and nearby, making it a convenient spot for families. Plus, there's a train station nearby and another picnic shelter within walking distance. Also a coffee kiosk outside for extra snacks and refreshments. Overall, Pia's Place Playground is ideal for parties, but be sure to make reservations on their website for the weekend days. Highly...
Read moreOne of my new favourite kids play areas in the Swan Valley. A hidden gem inside one of the more beautiful national parks in Perth, inside Whiteman Park opposite the dog park is this fantastic naturescape park. Plenty of old trees give and big strong tree trunks make for lovely picnic shade coverage. There's picnic tables and grassed areas. If you forget any food there's a converted sea container made into a cafe with Swan Valley prices but generous portions. $2 ice creams for the kids wasn't too bad either and they even have a book repository made from an old fridge. We were there for a few hours and the 6 kids we had barely scratched the surface of the amount of activities to do, there's flying foxes, rope bridges, climbing structures, slides, a lighthouse that can be climbed up and slid down, a ships helm and plenty of trees to climb, we also brought some bubble wands and had a picnic so the kids were exhausted afterwards, I consider that a...
Read moreGreat park for the kids to run around and explore, they are always excited to go play here as there is so much to do, as well as lots of spots for a picnic.
The toilets are well looked after, there is a water fountain, Good parking close by and a cafe for a coffee.
We held a birthday party here under one of the covered picnic tables, the kids had so much fun playing inside the playground, as well as having races around the paths among the trees and a few games of frisbee.
We saw a mob of kangaroos run up the creek very close to our picnic table, it was lovely to see!
The kids even went for a ride around the park on the tram.
Everyone left happy and kids were tired out.
A reminder that’s on the website, if you want to use the bbqs bring...
