The worst camping experience and the rudest staff. My friends and I had the worst experience over the weekend, which resulted in them forcing us out at night and calling the police (which was absolutely unnecessary). There were so many things that were just completely unprofessional and offensive.

When I arrived in a car to join my friends on the booked campsite, they let me in, but when I tried to get out in around an hour to go to Woolies, I heard a full lecture on how I am breaching the rules by driving in (they let me in themselves hey) and how there are too many people in our group. Our group was 12 people spread over 2 big houses and 2 tent sites (within the limit).

Then, when the other members of the group were entering / exiting and speaking our local language, we again got the comments that there are too many of us, that we are breaching the rules, and that we have to only speak English in the presence of the manager. I did not think that we are in the concentration camp! Moreover, the manager was acting like we are the worst kind of people whereas we have been really quiet and mostly outside during the day. But the worst was yet to come.

Around 12 of us gathered on the terrace of one of the houses, and 3-4 people (of this 12) were going in and out to cook and bring the food out. We were just chatting, using the barbie, and trying to unwind after being treated horrendously. Then, out of the blue, the same manager and security turned up and said that there are too many of us in the house and that only 5 people should stay on the terrace and inside the house. We politely explained that we are just having dinner and that all of us will spread over the 2nd house and the tents after dinner. The time was 8.30pm. This guy just didn’t want to listen and he walked away. In around 15-20 minutes, security staff showed up and said again that there should only be 5 people in the house. We again explained politely that we will finish the dinner and go to the tents/another house. We also asked to point to the rules saying that there should only be 5 people max on the terrace (there is nothing about that on the site and in the rules).

It only got worse. The staff was saying that we should obey to whatever their instructions are and that that’s our last warning - if we did not obey, the booking would be terminated, and we would be forced out / the police will be called. They also said something among the lines that they just don’t like us and that we are pissing them off. Wow. At this point, we were just completely lost and shocked by this behaviour. Kids in the group started to cry (there were families among us). Some went to the other house and to the tents, but there still were more than 5 people on the terrace. In around 15 more minutes, staff showed up again saying that our booking was terminated for all of the houses and tents, and that we have to leave the premises. Again, we were just having dinner, it was earlier than 10pm, it was quiet (we turned off the music completely already), and we were not breaching any rules. There was no explanation of what is the problem and we were forced out. We started cleaning up and packing houses/tents and the staff said that they are calling the police (why?) to ensure that we are leaving. This was just absolute nonsense and completely ridiculous. The police arrived in around 20 minutes while we were packing and told us that we need to leave (which we were already doing). So, the birthday was completely spoiled, we had to drive back home in the darkness, and some people had to sleep in their car near the premises because they were above the allowed alcohol limit for driving.

Never ever again I will step into the territory of this place, and I hope that the management is soon changed to someone who treats the...

We were a group of 12 going away to Bulli for three days of walks in the various parks so this park was an excellent choice for two cabins (nine of us), a caravan (two) and camp site (one).||Ours was a two-bedroom Deluxe Cabin for five people and it was excellent. In a lovely location slightly raised on a hill overlooking the beach and catching sun for most of the day.||We had a large queen bedroom, and three others shared the three-bed room (no bunks thankfully). All were comfortable with independent heating (needed) and TV sets (unused). There were a separate shower room and toilet so great for the five of us. There was also an amenities block within a short distance if required and this was very clean and well-maintained.||It was well equipped for all of with a large fridge and place and cutlery settings for five. Placemats would have been lovely as we worried about hot drinks on the wooden tables.|Whilst dishwashing liquid was provided it was in small sachets, and rather ineffective so a general bottle (maybe not permitted?) would have been more useful. Also, the tea-towels moved the moisture around rather than drying the dishes.||It should be noted that it is an approximate 20+mins walk to Woolworths and other amenities in the town.||Other than that, it was just perfect for our stay, and we would certainly stay...

Pre booked powered site, 2 adults. 2 night stay in March. We had site 34, grassed and facing the inbound park road. We have a 14 foot van so fitted straight on the site, most vans had to reverse in on an angle as the sites are generous in width but narrow in depth. It would be helpful to some guests if this was advised at check in as we had an enormous Winnebago back in on the site behind and as they didn’t fit just kept reversing onto our patch and close to the side of our van until they did fit. Their children then just used all space including ours nearby to run, yell and be a nuisance. There are two amenities blocks, the one at the front of the park is ancient, not well maintained and has a weird tile like floor with dirt trapped in between, the windows and entry door are filthy, the new one at the top of the hill was much cleaner. Access to amenities, laundry and camp kitchen are all locked with a code required. Coded gates for entry and exit. Beach access is close with tracks from the walking path, sites and surrounds of the park are well maintained.

One negative - the airconditioning was not working and it was absolutely freezing inside even though we used their blankets. Thank goodness I had brought along our own fleece blanket. Tis was in the first week of June. Otherwise, Really nice park. Have stayed previously. Cabins are well appointed, clean, tidy. It is an excellent place to stay. The tent grounds would pool water if it was raining. Excellent for caravans. Excellent staff. There is a really nice coffee Shop right next to the park and all the walkers, runners, cyclists gather here for a coffee and breakfast. It's tremendously convenient if you wake up and don't feel like making a coffee. Love the concept. Lovely Birdlife. Great walk along the sea, all paved. You can walk all the way round to Thirroul if you wanted to. Love it.

Relatively no frills caravan park run by the local council. Best attribute is location, right on Bulli beach. Kids loved it. Some sites are small and tight to get into. Others appear ridiculously oversize. Not sure why. We stayed on site 40 with a concrete pad. The sites with pads are crammed together and I'd recommend a grass site. We stayed over New Year and it's clear families have been coming here for generations. There are probably pluses and minuses to that, but overall there was a good vibe. Recommend using the facilities up the top of the hill. Clean and modern and well maintained. Overall well recommended, 1 star deducted for the very tight sites in places. We paid 93.50 a night for 7 nights at peak season, 2 adults and 2 kids, power and water on a concrete pad site.
