As a holy knight of Teutonic order, I was drawn to this ungodly place to battle the forces of darkness. Far from my ancestral castle at the Grand Duchy of Kensington Gardens, I learned through the lost scrolls of Google Maps of a mighty giant that menaces this high mountain pass. The giant, perhaps startled by the fury of my approach, was no where to be found. It was hell trying to get a fully armoured battle horse up the narrow walkway and chain mail doesn’t really provide the same level of ventilation and moisture-wicking as a modern synthetic fibre. Despite my labours, the only signs of life I encountered were some peasants garbed in yoga pants and crop tops, the likes of which I have not seen even in my crusades to the far East, beyond the outer reaches of Burnside. Back at the castle I weaved my adventures onto a large tapestry, complete with my artists impression of how the giant would look with me running a lance through it. I have been going on the Morialta walk since the early 90's and always love visiting the cave on my way down back to the car park. It is a good sized cave that has some amazing colours, especially as the sun passes over and shines through into the afternoon. It is quite cool inside and can be a relief in the middle of summer. I have always wondered what significance this place must of had to the local aboriginal Kaurna people who were the traditional land owners for hundreds or probably thousands of years. It does have a very spiritual feel about it when you are there and is worth checking out when you are...

The giant’s cave is located within Marialta falls conservation park. There are many walking paths situated within this conservation park. There are 4 main walking tracks each leading towards the falls. One track is an easy walk, while the other three are categorized as hard. There are many carparks available. Weekends seem to be a bit busy with many people coming here for a walk or hike. Today there was a mobile food...
