ZILLERTAL ARENA - Gerlos — Attraction in Gerlos

Great area for skiing, but also for hiking in summer. The overall experience is unfortunately downgraded by lazyness of the staff. And last but not least - Saturday is the best day for skiing. It's completely dead.

Pros: great ski slopes pictoresque places good snow conditions even for the cross country skiing

Cons: a lot of dutch people who dont really behave the best toilets on the highest point dont work for more than 2 weeks. No one really cares and the staff make false promises. the soap on the women toilet at the Gerlos station is missing for more than a week, again no one really cares... the skiline machine (for measuring the distance and printing out the report) doesnt work either. there's one crossing black 20a meets red 20. Everyday there's at least one heavy crash. It seems like no one cares, they dont put extra warning sides and any other elements to ensure that the skiers from 20a slow down...

So in general great area, but the overall experience is downgraded by the local staff. They simply dont care, so why to pay extra in this...

It's not just just a beautiful skiing Gebiet, there is a whole team who helps people in bad situations. I couldn't move for one and a half hours because i was stuck in the snow, and the notfall team came in and helped me out, which lasted almost two hours, i'am so greatful for the whole team, all the people who where involved in helping me out and helping my two friends who where struggling to go back...

Die Bahn und die verschiedenen Wanderung und Almen die man besuchen kann sind sehr gut. Doch leider sind jetzt hier auch Parkgebühren zu entrichten. Auf den ersten Blick schien es nur per APP möglich. Nach etwas suchen fand ich einen Ticketautomaten. Dort standen dann einige Urlauber und ich auch mit einem 5 Euro Schein und wollten ein Tagesticket kaufen. Doch der Automat nahm kein Bargeld sondern nur Karte!!! Eine nette Urlauberin hat mir mit ihrer Karte ein Ticket gezogen und ich hab ihr die 5 € gegeben. Dies alles ist nicht sehr Kundenfreundlich für die Urlauber, die mit dem Auto kommen möchten oder müssen!! Ja, man soll den kostenlosen Wanderbus benutzen... Wenn alle diesen Bus nehmen, dann würde ja gar kein Geld mehr mit den Parkgebühren verdient werden !! Und dass ist bestimmt nicht im Sinne des Erfinders, oder??? Ich werde so schnell nicht...
