Kletterhalle Wien is an excellent indoor climbing facility, perfect for anyone looking to practice rope climbing in a well-equipped and safe environment. The walls are impressively high, offering plenty of routes to challenge climbers of all skill levels. Whether you’re climbing with a partner to belay or using the convenient automatic belay machines, there’s something here for everyone.

Compared to Boulderbar, the higher walls at Kletterhalle Wien require significantly more endurance to complete a route. For example, while a 6a or 6b at Boulderbar might feel relatively manageable, even a 5c at Kletterhalle can become quite challenging. The extended distance and time you spend hanging on the wall put continuous pressure on your hands and body, demanding more stamina and strategic pacing.

Overall, Kletterhalle Wien is a fantastic choice for climbers seeking to build endurance and improve their rope climbing skills in a safe and friendly environment. Highly...

Kletterhalle Wien is my happy place. The staff is incredibly friendly, always ready to help and offer useful advice. The facility is well-maintained and clean, and they even host safety events occasionally, which is a great bonus for climbers of all levels. However, depending on the time, season, or if kids’ classes are happening, it can get pretty crowded.

There’s a small shop on-site for gear and a cozy café/bar where you can relax with a drink after climbing.

The only downside is that some climbers could work on their personal hygiene, as the occasional bad odors can be a bit distracting.

All in all, it’s the perfect playground for adults who love climbing and a great place to challenge yourself...

It's huge! Highly recommend to beginners and experienced climbers alike.

Loads of top rope routes and 8 or 9 auto belay, as well as plenty of very long lead routes across the roof. Minimal bouldering, so if you're not planned to use ropes, I would suggest going elsewhere, but if you're doing roped climbing, you can easily spend a full day here!

Pleasantly surprised by how warm it was inside for this time of year. Didn't venture outside as its November, but the outside boulders and ropes looks amazing too.

Be aware, there's no cafe on site, just a coffee and soft drinks machine which only take cash. There's a Spar shop across the...

I came here based on recommendations from people in Vienna. Tried lead climbing for the first time. You'll find plenty of routes here to challenge yourself. There's a small bouldering area, but it's more for warming up. This place has a lot of friendly people. Unfortunately, it was raining, but they have a large outdoor area for both lead climbing and bouldering

The place looks great, there are a lot of different routes, and all of it outdoors. The prices seem reasonable, because once you get in you can stay there until 11 p.m. The guy working at the reception was very helpful, explained where everything was and even lent me chalk.
