Our stay at AyurSoma was a very positive experience overall. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and well-organized — we were offered a small drink, completed the check-in quickly, and were shown to our room within minutes.
The overall atmosphere was peaceful and traditional, with a lot of greenery, gardens, and plants that created a calm and natural environment. The facilities were well maintained and clean. Our room was tidy and comfortable, with a good bed, spacious bathroom, bathtub and shower, and air-conditioning. The pool, located just below our room, was clean and pleasant to use. Wi-Fi worked well most of the time, with only minor power interruptions.
The retreat is well designed — everything is within a short walking distance, including yoga halls, therapy areas, and relaxation spots with nice ocean views. The food was fresh and varied, following Ayurvedic principles. It’s served buffet-style, with plenty of fruits, salads, and light sweets. After two weeks, the menu felt a bit repetitive, but overall, the meals were satisfying and healthy.
A great advantage of staying at AyurSoma is that guests can also use the facilities of the other sister properties within the group (and within walking distance). This means access to all their restaurants, pools, yoga classes, and other shared amenities — you’re free to move between them and enjoy the different settings each location offers.
The Ayurvedic doctors were professional and attentive, conducting daily check-ups and adjusting treatments as needed. The range of therapies was impressive — around 15+ different ones during our stay — and most were very good. Therapists were skilled, polite, and checked in regularly to ensure comfort.
Staff service was one of the highlights — everyone was friendly, humble, and quick to respond whenever we needed assistance. They also paid attention to personal preferences and habits, which made us feel well looked after.
Yoga and meditation sessions were offered at different levels, and most instructors were knowledgeable and attentive. There were also talks, cultural performances, and smaller events that added to the overall experience.
The retreat’s proximity to the ocean was a big plus — it’s just a few minutes’ walk, with areas to relax and enjoy the seaside.
One area for improvement would be the laundry service, which took about three days to complete.
In summary, AyurSoma is a peaceful and well-run Ayurvedic retreat offering a good balance of comfort, professionalism, and authentic healing atmosphere. It’s an ideal place to unwind, focus on yourself, and recharge both body and mind. We left feeling refreshed and would gladly return...
Read moreI would like to be honest about in this place for 14 days I will start with good things:
The resort is warm you will feel Comfortable All staff really very kind and helpful always smiling and welcoming The service everywhere professional The Room nice and very privacy About cleaning 100% is good All therapy people i meet they working very hard but What is the benefit if you didn’t achieve your goal??
I think this place just for relaxing not for treatment i will write more detail:
I gave them all my Analysis، explain what the problem I have، but I think they doing same for all
they starting with hair massage , full body massage, a different kind and finishing with face massage
All of this thing not helping my problem!
The worst thing they said you will get 5 things fe clean body from inside، they didn't do only NASYAM ( oil in my nose )
On the last day, the doctor prescribed me medication they told me to buy medicine and it’s different than what give us in 14 days !
They have only one activity ( backwater ) different charge, price ok but really was boring
If you think to go by driver out side they will charging you and it’s really expensive if you will buying gift or something it’s ok there’s small shops but also higher cost
I didn’t attend In yoga but more of times when I - it’s same movement
Also the food it’s real hard yes it’s different style but who’s thinking to be vegetarian he will change his mind same thing breakfast and dinner، There is no flavour most of us request salt and black pepper to can eat
I thought I will see different kind of salad but unfortunately Single chopped vegetables Cucumber ، onion، tomatoes & watercress One type of cabbage and lettuce Also, there are not many options for fruits
- The electricity turns off every once in a while and comes back on
really disappointed from this experience
my advice if you just looking for relaxing one week this enough, otherwise this Waste of time and money
Only two stars for the...
Read moreProbably the worst hotel I have stayed in till now. They made sure to ruin my holiday.
They took the booking with child and when we reached they said, we can't give you accommodation as our hotel is not children friendly and we need to book somewhere else. After a lot of argument, they finally let us in after keep is waiting for more than 1 hour.
Food is pathetic, they never mentioned that they have only ayurvedic food, which was tasteless and inedible. Please avoid this if you are on a holiday.
The worst part is that they damaged my car and didn't take any responsibility. Completely ruined my holiday and mood. There is almost more than meter dent on my car and they completely took their responsibility away. Worst experience in any hotel.
When I submit this review on tripadvisor, they said that they offered my to look at CCTV. In fact, I asked to show me CCTV multiple times and they mentioned they don't have CCTV in parking area. So please don't lie. Unfortunately there is no reply option on tripadvisor.
There were ants all over the room, balcony and bathroom. On complaining they just come and spray and after 30 minutes you are again with the ants.
Also, if you are not a hotel, the don't rake booking on hotel sites or mention clearly that it is a hospital and you mentioned in your reply at tripadvisor.
A property is either children friendly or not but you are selective. I have seen my children all across the hotel so please don't give this argument.
Lastly, I learned a lesson form this trip. Never believe a property, which is situated in India, and having its prices mentioned in EUROs everywhere. They are clearly not welcoming Indians over Europeans.
If you are an Indian, avoid this and save your...
