As a returning guest, I had high hopes based on the beauty of the location, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. Despite the stunning marina and family-friendly shallow waters, the overall service and guest treatment were extremely disappointing. Staff seemed disengaged and unresponsive to even the simplest requests. For example, a broken umbrella by the kids’ pool left us exposed to the sun for hours. I reached out to the pool crew, the manager on site, and even sent a message to the general manager, yet no one addressed the issue. The beach and pool areas—where guests come to relax—were filled with loud maintenance work in the middle of the day. On one occasion, the pool was shut down for construction work with crowds still around. I can’t understand why such tasks aren’t handled after hours when it wouldn’t disturb anyone. Additionally, I was shocked when Starbucks near the beach refused to serve me and my daughter simply because we weren’t wearing shoes—something I’ve never encountered in a beach setting. One staff member bluntly said, “You have to leave,” đŸ€·which came across as extremely rude and inappropriate, especially given the informal environment. We paid $5,000 per week for our unit and plus $22 per person ($500 a week), per day for beach access. At that price point, I believe it’s fair to expect a higher level of service and hospitality. Unfortunately, the overall attitude from staff gave the impression that guest satisfaction is not a priority. This was actually my second time staying at Palm Cay, and I had been considering returning again in August. But after this experience, I’m quite certain my money—and my family presence—are not truly welcome here.

We stayed here for a week on our boat and really enjoyed our stay. Great spot for heading out to the Exumas. The staff and dock hands were awesome. Dock hands were always friendly and willing to help with any needs. Dock hands did a great job helping get us in but marina made us stop at the fuel dock first even though it was very busy. The fuel was $5.47 before VAT. Electricity was $0.65 per Kwh and they also have water available but not sure on price since we did not use it. This marina seems to be very busy on the weekends due to charter boats returning and leaving. Lots of charter boats out of this marina. Showers and restroom was always open and clean. Great laundry facility and fairly priced. Laundry was $1.50 per load. Dryers also worked great. They have free use of a car but you have to sign up for it ahead of time. Two pools on site and one is an adult only pool with tiki bar. The pools were chilly most of the days we were there but very nice area. They also have a nice beach area with lounge chairs. Great restaurant on site and the Dock Side Café has great lunch and breakfast options with a coffee shop. The marina stay included the resort fee for 2 people for the week. You can add more on to the resort fee and I believe they said it was $11 per day per person. This gives you access to the pools and the beach. There is construction going on in the area but when that is finished it will be a quiet area except on the weekends when the charter groups are coming in. Solomon's Grocery store within walking distance but that is only thing close in this area. The marina does have a little store in the Dock Side Cafe that has a few supplies. Some snacks, drinks, and toiletry needs.
