Very nice, clean, modern, easily accessible museum, pernament exhibition of ceramics and archeological excavations is for free on the first Sunday of the month, the temporary section dedicated to children is paid, but the entrance fee is minimal, you get a chip card and go up the floors by yourself, the children's section is nice but small, could be bigger, the part with ceramics and excavations is much bigger and very nicely prepared, everywhere is clean, everything looks new, informative, interactive panels are funny mainly for kids, it is definitely a nice modern museum that you have to see, the staff is very kind, English speaking, toilets, lockers available, as well as a small souvenir shop, I highly recommend to visit this...

Besides a bit about the history of mankind, the exhibition focus on the neanderthals due to the finds in the cave nearby. I like that the exhibition also "talked* about different methods of dating and the types of scientists involved in the excavation and research. Central was the find of a jaw from a young neanderthal girl. It was possible to detract DNA from one of her 100,000 year old tooth, through that and other scientific examinations they found out that she was 8 years and 17 days old when she died.
