Perfect! Cozy!! A must visit if in Bruge or around.

I really liked this place. It's small original museum of the oldest fisherman in Belgium. Is also very nice to see small house in a street compering it to what is around. It is also a restorant! I had a lovely, tasty, really home made soup. While eating owner told a story about a house and also showed photos of fisherman story. Food is not too expensive so definitely worth to eat or at least snack. Also buy a fridge magnet to support this...

Spent a couple of hours in Blankenberge so popped in. A fascinating cafe-cum-museum in an old fisherman's cottage. On arrival you order what you want (we only stopped for a coffee), you're given an i-pad presentation of the history of the house and then you're free to wander round. Very warm and pleasant atmosphere. Definitely recommended for a unique local experience. The owner is warm, cheerful and enthusiastic about telling every interesting detail of this hundreds of years old ancestral house. We didn't need to book a table and found an interesting tiny space where everything was well organised to the minute details.
