Saltwaters Restaurant — Restaurant in Blankenberge

After a very negative experience at this establishment I researched the reviews of other previous customers. I can only endorse what I read. Bad service à la 'Fawlty Towers' i.e. rude personnel, absurdly long waiting times and at the end of it all badly cooked and presented food. Please folks, don't fall for the merry banter that you may encounter on your way to the table. The chances are that you will be terribly disappointed and have the feeling that you have been made a fool of or even robbed of your hard earned money. Finally, there was another slightly embarrassing incident concerning an uninvited object, namely a small piece of metal wire wool, which found its way onto the plate of my companion. Obviously this only added to our discomfort of continuing our meal without causing a potentially disastrous conflict in front of other diners. After bringing this to the attention of the member of staff who originally hosted us at the commencement of our visit, he promptly burst into some unintelligible rant and disappeared behind the scenes never to be seen again. Nevertheless the farce continued with absolutely no consistency of service at any level. Suffice it to say that you would be well advised to stay away from this restaurant. Meanwhile, pass this message on to anyone else who may be heading in that direction... Finally, I have never given an unfavourable review to a restaurant in the past but in the case of Saltwaters in Blankenberge I cannot even be generous enough to award one solitary star (but I had to give one to validate this post though they...

The French fries are a bit dry. The mixed grill is in a small portion and it’s not as tasty as I expected.

When I referred to the “French fries,” I meant the potato dish that accompanied my meal, which I found a bit dry. Nobody said it was dirty. Please carefully read my review and remain calm.

Regarding the mixed grill, my comment about the portion size and taste was based on my "Personal Experience" and "Expectations", which, obviously, are personal.
