I was surprised by the fact that even a humble-looking iron gate or yellow stairs can be so emotionally evoking. The audio guide is informative but could be more concise and slower if I am not being too nitpicking. My mother tongue is not English nor French, I find it hard to follow sometimes. Read moreWe saw people walking around with audio guides towards the end. we were not told this at the entrance. The proposed tour starts with an industrial museum and then a glass museum. This is all well and good, but I suspect that most people who visit a mining site come for the mining part, which comes at the end of that tour and when I got tired of reading the non-mining stuff. Moreover, the part about the mines is very sparsely developed. The video about the mining disaster, for example, was still reasonable, but it's in a corner behind a wall, where you could miss it!
