Here my detailed review:
Entry fee & Parking: Parking is shared with walibi theme park. 13€ is kinda expensive but if you pay parking at the Aqualibi desk, its only 11€. The entry fee for Aqualibi is around 35€ which is ok, not cheap but on the limit. Sadly there is no combi ticket together with the theme park. Also a chip wristband paying system could be useful, so you dont have to bring a wallet to the pool bar.
Since Aqualibi is open till 10pm, it offers a nice additional experience after spending a day at Walibi, which closes already at 6pm. I entered Aqualibi at 5pm. The crowds were mid and only the new slides had some waiting.
Changing rooms: The changing rooms are clean, its also unisex. Lockers are fine and are NO upcharge. Also note their clothing policy, they dont allow shorts.
Pools: The main pool area is themed to some degree and features some rockwork. It has a medium sized wave pool, which can be pretty packed. The waves were only turning on once in the 2,5 hours I was there. There is also a nice relaxing Lagoon with some whirlpools. Kids play areas are right next to the Lagoon. For the ambient temperature it was kinda chilly at some spots (outdoors it was 20°C) with lots of AC running. The water temperature was just right. The cleanliness in the pools was not so great but thats usual if there is lots of people.
Slides: So this is the park's main focus. The dome with the wave pool offers some slides (these are the older ones). Here you have some chill tire slides (like Bi-bob) but also some faster slides like Flash and Extreme (this one has a nasty direction change where you almost flip over). Next to the lagoon, there is the very well themed Rapido river slide. This one is lots of fun with much variation and even features a "disco" cave. Its a very chaotic and wild slide. Only minus is that they dont regulate how many people are on the Rapido, I felt like being in a "people avalanche" where you constantly bump into others or they bump into you.
For the new slides, you had to wait a bit (max. 10-15min). You wait at the bottom to get a tire and then walk up to the slide's start. The slides with the bowl and with the half pipe were very popular, fun and exciting. The slides where you lie belly down on a mat are also fun but not as fast and exciting. The banzai slides (featuring 2 uphill passages) were nice but way too short and kinda slow. Cool idea but not as exciting as the others. Also note that banzai requires 2 people on a tire/boat, if you are below 68kg.
After around 6pm the waits dropped significantly to even zero on most slides. (Was there on a friday) For me 2,5h were enough to have a good time and experience everything and doing multiple laps on the slides.
Verdict: ++ slide selection ++ great in the evening after being at Walibi theming, especially on rapido free lockers ~ mid cleanliness ~ pricing not cheap but also not expensive ~ no chip...

I recently had an incredible experience at Aqualibi water theme park in Belgium, and it exceeded all expectations. Located within the Walibi amusement park complex, Aqualibi offers a thrilling array of water activities and attractions that cater to all ages.
One of the standout features of Aqualibi is the diverse range of water activities available. From thrilling water slides to relaxing lazy rivers and interactive splash zones, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. During my visit, I had a blast racing down exhilarating slides like the Flash and the Rapido, which provided an adrenaline-pumping experience. The variety of slides ensured there was always a new adventure to try.
The wave pool at Aqualibi was another favorite attraction. The waves were incredibly realistic and added to the excitement of the water park. It was a fantastic feeling to swim and play in the waves, as if I were at the beach.
In addition to the thrilling rides, Aqualibi offers plenty of options for relaxation and rejuvenation. The Jacuzzi and relaxation areas provided a tranquil escape, allowing me to unwind between activities and enjoy some downtime.
One of the great advantages of visiting Aqualibi is its convenient accessibility. The water park is well-connected by train from Brussels, making it easily accessible for visitors relying on public transportation. Additionally, Aqualibi offers ample parking space for those arriving by car, ensuring a hassle-free experience from start to finish.
The overall atmosphere at Aqualibi was lively and welcoming, with upbeat music playing throughout the park. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that safety measures were in place and that guests had a positive experience.
Another notable highlight of Aqualibi is the availability of amenities and dining options within the water park. There are several spots to grab a quick bite or a refreshing drink, allowing guests to refuel and continue enjoying the day.

Read moreA really nice day out and highly recommended.
Getting there from Brussels: we took the train to Leuven and switched to Bierges-Walibi (the platform for the connection train in Leuven is usually platform D, to get to it go up to platform 1 and look for the sign pointing to D; you need to walk a bit down the platform to find it). We almost missed the train trying to find the right platform. The station is less than 10 min walk from the park.
On queuing to get in: Arrived here on a very warm Sunday and the queue was extremely long, 1hr at least. They do not segregate queues for people who have bought tickets in online in advance and those paying on arrival, personally I think an improvement would be to allow those who already have a ticket to have priority in a separate queue or else everyone is held up waiting for people in front to buy tickets.
Changing rooms: really good and clean, plenty of changing cubicles and lockers are free of charge.
Slides and pools: all of the slides and pools are indoors but there is a really nice variety. Many of the slides specifically cater for two people at a time in a single rubber ring so you can go down with your partner or a child but it also somewhat limits the number of slides a solo person can use. When we went the place was at maximum capacity so there was a wait for most slides, the longest wait time for the biggest slides being about 10mins. The wave pool was extremely busy so we mostly avoided it, but it would be a lot of fun when less crowded. The Rapido course is a bit of a mixed bag, it's several slides broken up with smaller pools and is a bit hectic when lots of people are using it; beware.
Food: not great to be honest but edible. Burgers and chips situation but at least it's not overpriced. The staff were incredibly slow taking people's orders however.
Outdoor area: there's a terrace out the back with a bar where you can eat your meal or just take a break in the sun. It would be really nice if they added a small outdoor pool here, but for now it's just seating.
Other things: look up the swimwear dress code on their website in advance, you cannot wear loose swim shorts.
Overall it's really worth it and I'd like to come back on a not...
