Ferradura Beach — Attraction in Região Geográfica Imediata de Cabo Frio

It's very crowded, parking is tricky (I'd recommend parking at the little lot at Summer Park 200ft away) with guys trying to get you to pay them for whatever (hard to tell if you don't speak Portuguese). It's really windy, even in the morning and in the cove, and the water is brownish and choppy and cold (they don't call it Cabo Frio for nothing). Did I mention it's crowded? Wall to wall people. This review is for all the beaches in the Buzios area. Beautiful mix of rocky outcrops and colorful sand. Spotted a few turtles too. But, this town needs to work on its trash problem. I understand these are public beaches, but use some of the taxes and parking fees (we were hassled by plenty of parking officials) to send a few people around picking up garbage. Super crowded, ugly beach. It's looks like a bay and the sand is muddy. The water is not clear like in most beaches in Buzios. In addition over the weekend it gets very crowded with the quiosques chairs and umbrellas so you will never find a spot for your beach towel. If you try to sit at the quiosque's chair their are so close together. I lasted for less then 5 minutes...
