We stayed here for three nights at the end of a two week tour of Brazil. Peter and his young colleagues on reception couldn’t have been more friendly despite the language barrier, which he overcame with smiles, sign language, some English, some French and Google Translate - all great fun. OK, so the room was in need of a decorative refresh, but it was clean, the AC and TV worked and we had a functioning fridge. We had a hammock outside and the cabin was perfectly comfortable. Breakfast was pretty standard hotel fare - but appetising enough and nicely presented. We were bed and breakfast only and ate our other meals in Búzios which is a brisk twenty minute walk, or an inexpensive Uber ride away. The hotel is in a pretty location and the beach is only five minutes away down a track. The bar is bottled and cans, as the management seem to assume (correctly) that most people will go into Búzios to eat and drink. We really liked the place, it had charm and the staff...
Read moreIt's a modest small hotel, rooms are basic and past their best but it's in a very good quiet location a couple of minutes walk from a lovely beach in a sheltered bay. It's about a 30 minute walk to Centro the small but very tourist friendly and picturesque town. The hotel runs a free shuttle bus hourly to save your legs though.|The hotel has a very nice pool area and a small bar but it's only open from 12 until 8 with limited choice. I think most people head to the beach and several small bars that are there and eat in town where there's a very good choice of restaurants.|Rooms are pleasant enough, basic but ok, in blocks of 4, 2 up 2 down. All have a balcony of patio that have a hammock. The safe in our room was broken but the aircon worked well. Our friends had a safe that worked but the aircon was broken... |The staff were the best part of the Hotel all very friendly, enthusiastic...
Read moreWe stayed here recently for 3 nights at the end of a tour of Argentina and Brazil! The staff at the hotel are all really young and are very friendly and hard working!! We did struggle at times because they spoke very little English but we managed!! The hotel provided a good breakfast but no other food which does leave you pretty stranded for food during the day! They run a bar for 2 hours in the afternoon but basically it’s a fridge with cans of beer and soft drinks! However the hotel ran a free shuttle bus on an evening into town and we were able to buy supplies for during the day! The beach is literally 5 minutes away and the hotel offer free chairs and brollies to take with you! ||Our room was okay if a little small! We didn’t realise that to get your room cleaned you had to hand your key into reception! The hotel was very quiet because we were...
