From start to finish, I was so amazed by how diligent, organized, and professional this organization was. I decided to do the 3 night/4 day trip and it was excellent! When you first reach out to them, you will interact with Rose. She will be your go-to person for the entire trip. She is very clear, concise, and attentive when explaining the logistics of the trip. I had spent days looking for a decent price to visit the Pantanal, and of all the places, this company gave me a fabulous rate. But I think I loved the most, was how professional they were. Rose really took care of everything for me. She picked me up herself at the airport, took me to a local grocery to get some snacks to prepare for the journey, arranged that I stayed at the best lodge in the region - The Pantanal Jungle Lodge, and she even checked in on me every single day to see how my experience was going. Rose really and truly is the best! Now, regarding the trip, I really felt like I lucked out with this company. First of all, the jaguar were DEFINITELY there in November in the southern Pantanal. And I was there mid to end of November. The Pantanal Jungle Lodge was the perfect base to go out on adventures and see animals. They are highly efficient, and organized, with a schedule of daily activities and different guides, who really help you to explore the depths of this region. The meals are hands down some of the best I had had in Brazil!! My room was very clean, and good enough for my stay. I went with the single private room, but they have shared spaces there too. It was very much a lodge room. There is a pool on the grounds which makes it amazing for those super hot days or just a break in between activities. Now as for the animals, you will see so many! My first day, capybara were grazing right by the lodge. The activities are a mix of boat/ water activities, with some jeep and hiking opportunities. And you do two activities a day - one in day and one in the evening. You need to be camera ready cause you just never know what you’ll see. I saw : capybara, caiman, piranha, giant anteaters, giant otters, toucans, and many other beautiful wild birds. Unfortunately, I wasn’t lucky enough to see the jaguar. I think what it comes down to is having a guide with the skill set to spot them. The guides there are EXCELLENT, and will teach you so much about animal spotting and the region, but jaguar spotting can be a challenge so it’s best to go with a good guide or switch up your guides. That is why it’s good to be at the Pantanal for a few days - you can switch up the guides. For example, my guide was phenomenal (and we actually had him for the entire duration of the stay), but we were not lucky enough to see the jaguars. But literally 5 minutes before us, another group exploring by boat with another guide, saw 5! And they even told us here to go to try to see them. Each day, people were seeing them. I think it really comes down to luck and just going with a good guide. As for the other animals, my guide was excellent! We saw the rare giant anteater while hiking, we caught a whole family of giant otters and the funny thing, the guide knew an animal call to get them to come over to our boat! He really went above and beyond for us as well, of course with the goal of helping to possibly see the jaguar. He even snuck in an extra evening boat ride for us, and spent so much time with us trying to spot the jaguar. I personally loved the boat rides cause I can’t swim and honestly I had noticed people were having a lot of luck seeing the jaguar from the boat. The experience by boat is so surreal, especially at the prospect of seeing this mysterious animal. The final day of your trip they will take you to a farm where you will go horseback riding. You are going to see so many macaws!! There is a specific tree that is like a haven for them. The entire experience will be very enjoyable. All in all, I could not recommend this tour company enough. Trust me, you will be in...

Read moreWe had an incredible experience getting to know the Pantanal through Jungle Lodge. Rose made it all happen for us. She made sure we got to our destination and back safely. She answered all our questions and was a tremendous help! At the Jungle Lodge we got a rare glimpse at a jaguar on the spotlight night boat tour. We saw 4 giant otters, along with an emu crossing the river. Our guide, Ronni Anaconda was the best. The food was incredible and I loved meeting people from other countries coming to enjoy the...
