Beautiful trail. Unfortunately not much wildlife—only saw a monkey on two different occasions and then there's the odd bird here and there—but the forest is amazing and very tranquil. The path isn't too difficult, but there are some spots, especially the final stretch, where if you're shorter, it might be a bit rougher and you'll have to hold onto stuff. I saw a lot of kids going up, though, so it's manageable. It takes about an hour to an hour and a half to get to the top, and the view of the urban jungle is amazing. Not entirely sure which urban area exactly you're seeing, though, no one was really sure whether you're seeing Sao Paulo—and if so, which parts—or Osasco or some other adjacent city.
You can get up to Pico do Jaragua by car, too, but there are cats that steal cars at the top, so...
Read morePretty good hike, the trail can be muddy and slippery as there is a steam running close by. It isn't particularly difficult, I think moderate is a good call, for someone that hikes regularly, probably not challenging, and vice versus for people who do not hike, wouldn't recommend with sandals.
There's a couple of checkpoints, each with good views, at the end of the vegetation , then left at the bottom of the staircase, climb the mural staircase for nice but obstructed views of the northern areas, then note walk around the radio tower to get to the otherside to see the whole of São Paulo city to the south.
Note: the waterfall park, doesn't really have a waterfall, it's just a stream with...
Bom passeio!
