Who could use a trip to Rio right about now? 🇧🇷 Rio de Janeiro is one of the most visited cities in the world and is well known for its natural settings, Carnival, samba music, and its beaches such as Copacabana, Ipanema, and Leblon. Did you know that Samba was created by African people in Brazil from the music and dance culture they brought from Africa? In addition to the popular Rio beaches, some of the most famous landmarks include the giant statue of Christ the Redeemer which is named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World; Sugarloaf Mountain with its cable car, and Maracanã Stadium, one of the world's largest football stadiums. There are 7 new wonders of the world and one of them is in Rio. Rio also has the biggest Carnival event in the world and it’s usually held in February and March. Brazil is one of my favorite countries in the world and if you ever visit once, you will definitely return. #wanderlust #adventureseeker #doyoutravel #travelmore #wonderfulplaces #openmyworld #lovetotravel #adventurethatislife #roamtheplanet #travelbloggers #travelblogging #bloggersofinstagram #blogger #thattravelblog #bloggerlife #bloggerslife #bloglife #travellifestyle #travelpreneur #riodejaneiro #brazil #braziltravel #riodejaneiroinstagram

Maracanã (Portuguese: Estádio do Maracanã, standard Brazilian Portuguese: [esˈtadʒi.u du maɾakɐˈnɐ̃], local pronunciation: [iʃˈtadʒu du mɐˌɾakɐˈnɐ̃]), officially named Estádio Jornalista Mário Filho (IPA: [iʃˈtadʒ(i)u ʒoʁnaˈliʃtɐ ˈmaɾi.u ˈfiʎu]), is a stadium in Rio de Janeiro. The stadium is part of a complex that includes an arena known by the name of Maracanãzinho, which means "The Little Maracanã" in Portuguese. Owned by the Rio de Janeiro state government, it is, as is the Maracanã neighborhood where it is located, named after the Rio Maracanã, a now canalized river in Rio de Janeiro. The stadium was opened in 1950 to host the FIFA World Cup, in which Brazil was beaten, 2–1, by Uruguay in the deciding game, in front of 199,854 spectators on 16 July 1950. The venue has seen attendances of 150,000 or more at 26 occasions, the last being on 29 May 1983, as 155,253 spectators watched Flamengo beat Santos, 3–0. The stadium has seen crowds of more than 100,000 284 times. But as terraced sections have been replaced with seats over time, and after the renovation for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, its original capacity has been reduced to the current 78,838, but it remains the largest stadium in Brazil. The stadium is mainly used for football matches between the major football clubs in Rio de Janeiro, including Flamengo, Fluminense, Botafogo, and Vasco da Gama. It has also hosted a number of concerts and other sporting events. The total attendance at the last (and indeed decisive game, but not a final) game of the 1950 World Cup was 199,854, making it the world's largest stadium by capacity when it was inaugurated. After its 2010–2013 renovation, the rebuilt stadium currently seats 78,838 spectators, making it the largest stadium in Brazil and the second in South America after Estadio Monumental in Peru.

Most beautiful arena I visited in my entire life. To getting there is very easy. You just need to take the 🚇 metro and as you can imagine the metro station is Maracaná stadium, and its a big one. Well you must pay attention for bad people usually is outside the station. Just walk 100 yards and you gonna have the most beautiful landscape of this monument of soccer's history. A good moment to take your best photo. Then you approach to the main entrance and is easy to find the ticket aid room. It's not expensive not cheap, you just buy it, you deserve and somethings in life must be done... Walking to the museum is epic with the most antique soccer ball just as example... Go to the team rooms and finally to the inside arena... Sitting on the players back and waking to stairs.... Rest and just feel really happy... By the way thinking in LDU Championship 2008 vs Fluminense here in this amazing place is the most satisfactory feeling that ever had in my life. Maracanaso.
