Very nice, small 4 acre botanical garden. It is still recovering from Hurricane Irma as of December 2022, so there is some damage still evident. The small space is filled with lush, reasonably well maintained tropical vegetation which could use some signage to aid in identification (thank goodness for Google Lens). It was a delightful, short interlude while on a cruise stop. The garden is about 2 km from the cruise terminal, taking 20 minutes to walk. Some streets along the walk lacked sidewalks, so there was some, unavoidable exposure to traffic traveling on the left side of the road. Read moreThis was a relatively short walk from the cruise port (maybe 20 minutes). Admission was $3 per adult when we went. It was a nice place to walk around and enjoy the beautiful plants. NOTE: The walking directions Google Maps provided at the time I was planning this trip indicated a different route than what you actually have to take. When I looked at the walking route from the port, it indicated I should continue past the police station on Pickenin Road. The location is home to many species of plants that are native to the bvi as well as some such as bamboo that have been planted there for aesthetic reasons. The park features some benches that make great spots to stop and take in the picturesque surroundings or to have lunch. There is even a large open area that makes a great backdrop for photographers to use for events such as family photos.
