It is a place of significance and majesty i n the Sea Capital of Bulgaria—Varna. You can not get inside the building itself, however, it is withal one of the top locations in the city for observing both the sunrise and the sunset. The place isn't lacking the outstanding view to the port of Varna, with both all its small and sizably voluminous ships, motor and motorless yachts, fishing boats and last but not least - the military ships. Красиво място, където можеш да се насладиш на песента на морето, на шепота на водата, да затаиш дъх пред величието на връхлитащите вълни, да те обгърнат нежните пръски... За фара е изписано много, но със сигурност следва да знаете историята на барелефа. При построяването на вълнолома под фара бил поставен бронзов барелеф, изобразяващ портрет на цар Фердинанд. След войната, до 1953г на неговото място бил монтиран бюст на Сталин. След това бил поставен ликът на Георги Димитров, който пък бил махнат в началото на 1990-те години. На 19 декември 1994г е осветена мозайката с лика на свети Николай Чудотворец, закрилник на моряците и рибарите. Мозаечното пано е съставено от няколко хиляди разноцветни камъчета от базалт, гранит, мрамор, смалт и други породи, които имат естествен цвят. И тук, като на много други места, човешката слабост се стремяла да остави следа за своята лицемерна признателност към важните личности за съвремието си. Днес вече, може би най-смислено св. Николай Чудотворец стои тихо под фар и закриля всеки докоснат от морето. Който е дошъл във Варна трябва да види фара.
