Visiting the Rainbow Bridge at Angkor Wat with my family was nothing short of magical. This lesser-known gem of the temple complex offers a moment of peace and reflection, serving as a beautifully balanced gateway to Cambodia's most iconic site. Unlike the bustling main walkways, the Rainbow Bridge allows you to feel like you've stepped into a secluded part of history, where the serene environment is simply captivating.

We found ourselves marveling at the intricate stonework and the way it melds so seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. The soft sound of water below and the gentle rustling of leaves created a peaceful soundtrack as we strolled across the bridge. It was as if time itself had slowed down to let us savor each moment. My family and I took a pause in the middle, appreciating the subtle play of light as it danced across the ancient stones.

What truly set the Rainbow Bridge experience apart was the sense of intimacy and tranquility. The area wasn’t crowded, allowing us the chance to truly connect with the surroundings without feeling rushed. The bridge is a spot where history meets nature, providing a welcome respite from the more crowded sections of Angkor Wat.

For anyone visiting Angkor Wat, I wholeheartedly recommend taking a detour to the Rainbow Bridge. It’s not just a passage over water, but a journey into the past, wrapped in the serene embrace of Angkor’s...

Visited during my solo cycling tour from Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok. And it was the highlight of the trip. This bridge is where most of the visitors will likely use to cross the moat. It’s a beautiful approach and great way to introduce the silhouette of the temple. It is a magnificent ruin that no one should miss. Previously, I’ve been to Some other ruins such as Ayutthaya and Sukhothai etc. So, my reaction would be somewhat subtle. Yet it is mesmerizing especially around sunset. I’d prefer somewhere less famous that don’t have much crowd, but this place is one of the must-see for sure. Some sections have uneven ground so you better watch...

It's possible that you went to that place wither for sunrise, day time and other regular timing which we would agree that everyone goes and it gets sometime irritating to see that much people sticking with their phone all the time isn't it ? How about going there at night where there is absolutely no one there and If you are cute and kind enough, the guards would let you in as long as you don't get inside the angkor temple ? We'll its possible and pictures are night are outstanding and timeless. Picture it and you may get what is a unique experience of the...

The Rainbow Bridge, the grand sandstone causeway leading to Angkor Wat, is the perfect introduction to this awe-inspiring temple complex. Stretching across the wide moat, it offers breathtaking views—especially at sunrise or sunset, when the temple’s reflection shimmers in the water. Originally built in the 12th century and carefully restored, this historic bridge transports you back in time before you even step inside. Walking across it, you can truly appreciate the scale and craftsmanship of Angkor Wat. A must-visit for anyone in Cambodia!
