Srah Srang is located across the road from the east entrance of Banteay Kdei. A enter and leave Srah rang from the road. Srah Srang always has water and is surrounded by greenery. According to one French archaeologist, it offers at the last rays of the day one of the most beautiful points to view the Park of Angkor. It was built in the end of the 12th century, by the King Jayavarman VII, dedicated to Buddhist, replica to Bayon style of art. LAYOUT A majestic platform (landing stage) with leads to the pond. It is built of laterite with sandstone molding. The platform is in the shape of a cross with serpent balustrades flanked by two lions. At the front there is an enormous Garuda riding a three-headed serpent. At the back there is a mythical creature comprising a three-headed serpent, the lower portion of a Garuda and a stylized tail decorated with small serpent heads. The body of the serpent rests on a dais supported by mythical monsters. See...

Are you looking to watch the sunrise almost by yourself?? This is the place to come to ! This place was great for the sunrise! We didn't want to be in angkor wat, together with all the thousands of people. We decided on visiting this temple for our sunrise, and we did not regret it. 6.27 The sun started to rise, and we were ALL BY OUR OWN! Please contribute by helping the nice lady who will ask if you want breakfast, coffee, or tea. We had a very good coffee with condense milk for 2 dollars, Well worth it! We saw her cycling off to get our coffee and came back as happy as all Cambodians were 😋 and we know-it- goes to the village next door. And the dogs are a very nice...

I think, Srah Srang is the secret paradise of Angkor temples. It's just opposite of Banteay Kdei and 5 minutes walking. It's not crowded and not well known place when you compare with Angkor wat, Angkor Thom and Tha Phrom temples. But this place is so good if you are sunset lovers. Sun goes down over the lake and you may see every colours inside lake. Sunset view point is cross side of the lake. We have gone for both sunset and sunrise times. We decided to go with tuk-tuk and talked with our hotel for arranging the tuk-tuk. But our favourite one is definetely sunset. There were only local peoples and it was amazing to sit and spend...

With the clear and cloudless sky, you get definitely obtain some wonderful natural colors out of your pictures and videos. I believe few of mine would be talking from themselves as around 3pm, the weather was partially clear with some little cute clouds around. It didn't seem busy at that time, I don't even think there were 10 people on that terrace. Windy will whisper at your ear if you listen carefully and close your eyes for a bit of time. If you are willing to listen, of course. Or maybe that place brought me somewhere i have never been yet it seemed that I knew all about it already.
