Skook Trail Beauty If you're looking for a captivating trail that winds its way through ancient forests and lush ferns, then this is the perfect choice for you. The hike offers a delightful mix of ease and challenge, making it suitable for hikers of varying abilities.

The beauty of this trail lies in its serene old growth surroundings, where you'll feel immersed in nature's embrace with every step. While the path is mostly gentle, there are certain sections that might pose a bit more difficulty, depending on your level of experience.

For the ultimate experience, I highly recommend trekking all the way to the furthest point of the trail. Your efforts will be handsomely rewarded with a mesmerizing up-close view of the mighty Skook – a spectacle that truly showcases the awe-inspiring power of nature.

In conclusion, this trail is a must-visit for nature enthusiasts and hikers seeking a delightful journey through picturesque landscapes. Embrace the tranquility of the old growth and ferns, and venture forth to witness the majestic force of the Skook up close....

After the long traverse through the forest, we arrived hot and sweaty to a sizeable group of people sitting on the rocky slope in anticipation of the natural phenomena that would ensue. And...it did not disappoint! The awe-inspiring vortex of the whirlpool is reminiscent of a draining bathtub, and viewing this as part of a motley crew of hikers made it that much more special. However I'm taking away one star because of the sawmill's presence across the water, which degraded the edge-of-the-wilderness feeling you would...

North point gives spectacular views of whirlpools at ebb tide; Roland Point is beautifully set for the standing wave in a strong flow tide, where kayakers come to practise (and starfish when the tide is lower). Both have decent viewing locations. Quite a bit more clambering (just natural steps) is required for Roland Point; bring plenty of water if you're anything like as...

It's a pleasant hike in the forest and after one hour walk, you can enjoy a nice viewpoint. I withdraw one star because I personally couldn't get over the fact that there's a factory on the other bank, which I found quite loud. But my brother was with me that day and he wasn't fazed at all by the noise.
